Changes are coming but not the ones needed

The Cowboys will be a much worse team next year.

A ton of free agents and no cap space.

Gallup, Ced Wilson, and Turner outperformed their contracts but all 3 will likely be gone.

OC Kellen Moore spent the time he should have been prepping for the 9'ers instead prepping for job interviews. I hope you get one. So long but still, the team will take a step back.

DC Quinn will probably get a HC gig and he deserves it. Cowboys D will suffer for it.

Gregory outperformed DLaw but is not worth a big contract. He will be gone. Armstrong played well enough that there will be interest from other teams.

Vander Esch underplayed his price and Neal will follow Quinn. Neither are world beaters but the LB corps is going to be bare.

Kearse, Hooker and Kazee will all go to the highest bidders. Maybe we can keep one. I doubt it.

Williams will be gone. Good but another wasted premium draft pick and another hole to fill.

Once again we will be non-players in F.A. as we have no cap flexibility. There will be plenty of proven players available to help teams but we will not have access to any of them.

Dak
Zeke
Cooper
Dlaw
Tron
Collins
Martin

These are the players eating up the cap . Only one of them is worth it. Two of them are impossible to get out from under. Cooper, Dlaw Tron and Collins are all possible to trade and create some cap room in the future but each leaves you bare at weak positions and the F.O has never had the foresight to trade a player while there is some value to be had.

The team will be much weaker next year.

They can’t be much worse.

A division title is nice, but winning in the playoffs is what matters.

If we fail to win a playoff game next year the result is the same.

I kind of agree....im not quite as pessimistic as you, but this will be tough to actually improve the team for next season. I bet we keep Gregory, i'm hoping by some miracle we can keep Quinn.

Is there a limit on comp picks? If not we may have hit the jackpot on those coming up.

Does feel like 2022 could be a semi rebuild season though. Need another year to pass to get out of some of these contracts, but they should still be good enough to contend for the east, whatever thats worth.

Maybe this is also why Jerry was really angry. He basically stated that time is short to win with personnel, because teams take your talent in FA. He knows that this team is about to get robbed of a lot of their talented players.

There hasn't been a repeat NFC East champ in 17 years. I won't be surprised if that streak reaches 18.

Reminds me of a bad joke my grandfather told me as a kid ..

During the war, the troops had been in the field for weeks when their commander said he had good news and bad news. He said the good news was everyone was finally going to be able change their underwear. Then he said the bad news is you will be changing underwear with the soldier next to you.

Sometimes we hear "changes coming" and immediately think the big changes we want are coming, when in reality the changes are nothing more than the typical post-season changes all teams make with a little extra hype thrown in to inflate the moves.

You mean we won't be getting a new GM?

How can you be so sure?

We are about to get picked apart in FA. Some of those who leave, we can say good riddance, but we will be going into next year with an inaccurate QB who can't see the field, a washed up RB, an incompetent head coach and a bunch of nobodies.

It's his own fault for vastly overpaying a few players.

I cut the top 4 off the list and have losing season and start over after that.

Let's get rid of Zeke , D law, Cooper and #52 . I would have felt good about our chances had we had a running back capable of consistency. Zeke is done. We have to put up with Dak unless he gets injured.
