We're so damn close....Dak played poorly the last couple of months...Zeke was hurt, KM got a big head and forgot about Pollard, CeeDee drank the kool-aid....we have many issues, but....should we blow it up or keep building? I'm a homer, but I'm thinking blow it up, I don't see it getting better without an overhaul....

I have less faith in McCarthy than I did Garrett to adjust what we do on the field based on whos available and playing well. The biggest issue with these offensive coaches is when they starters struggle they wait till quarter 4 to give the backups a shot. Their inability to scheme up some runs and utilize the better runner early and often to get things going has killed this offense. Dak is struggling and getting absolutely zero help from the coaches. No I don't blame Zeke for wanting to push his body the best he can, it shouldn't be his choice when Pollard is clearly running better for the last 2 months. Philbin should be the 1st coach fired. Never seen such a talented group not be able to do anything but aquire penalties. Whatever he's teaching has this group playing their worst football ever.

Dak isn't going anywhere but we are about to lose Gallup, wilson, schultz, Conner Williams. There will no doubt be some big changes to how this offense operates next year. Change is coming but the biggest change needs to happen at the coaching level.

No its not...it may be for people that haven't strapped it up....but for players and coaches it means a lot!
I don't care about what their feelings are, they are playing a whole new year with different teams and they themselves are not going to be the previous team, no matter how you look at it they aren't.

Dak is a good kid that lost his edge....he's here for 2 more years, hopefully he turns it around
If playing QB1 was a popularity contest hed be an MVP. But its a talent contest. And that he severely lacks.

Blow it up. Most penalized team part coaches mostly players. Cant win with dumb undisciplined players.

Dak is here for another 3 years at least , so to help the average to mid QB we need to upgrade OL, get some playmaker in WR , TE and help with Running game ! LOL

To do all these and still need to upgrade defense , especially DL and LB and secondary … Cap based league is going to be impossible.

There will be attrition but Dak and Zeke will be here. DLaw probably another year at $27,000,000 against the cap but $19,000,000 in dead cap if cut.

If you can trade him, his signing bonus accelerates but you can get a 3rd, hopefully a 2nd for a team looking for a very good vet for 2 years. He does look back to full health now.

I don’t think they’re getting rid of McCarthy but I do think Quinn goes to Denver and Moore hopefully somewhere else so McCarthy can do his thing fully in year 3 which is his do or die year.

If MM gets a guy like Fangio, then we’re going 3-4 and believe DLaw will be on the block. Do believe that we’re heavily looking at Zimmer also. This is if Quinn is gone.

For the next year we still control the division unless a Deshaun Watson ends up in Philly or Russell Wilson ends up on the Giants. Rodgers probably going to Denver. Davante Adam’s is 30, Denver looking to sell and will cough whatever they have to, to get Rodgers who will have a lot of young talent around him.

We better hope this organization isn’t holding onto this Dak/Kellen Moore and Zeke will be elite again story. Because that’s going to take another 2 to 3 years to blow up.

Let me ask you this - if you think this team (which just got bounced out of the playoffs in the first round at home, which starts to feel the impact of Dak's contract in earnest next year, which hasn't won a big game in many years, etc. etc.) is 'this close," how many other teams in the NFL do you think are "this close"

So damn close?

No, we are NOT. Close is getting to the NFC championship game at a MINIUMUM. In the last 15 seasons Dallas has played in only 10 playoff games and lost 7 of those. Haven't gotten past the second game in that time. This is a football team, not a baseball batter, where a 30% success rate is excellent.

And blow it up doesn't mean you dump the entire team. You do like you do with rose bushes (I grow those) every winter - you prune out the dead wood and the non-productive canes and leave the main, fruitful canes.

You keep Dak,Parsons, Lamb, Zeke, Pollard, Martin, Cooper, Wilson, Shultz, Lawrence, Parsons, Diggs, etc. Get rid of Williams, McGovern, Jarwin, (already got rid of J. Smith, small victory there), Noah Brown, Gifford, etc.

Cull the underperformers and penalty prone players, start with a solid core and build on that...

Jerry said Super Bowl or bust, but we all knew he meant Super Bowl or status quo.

blow it up?? wth are you talking about? Running game must get better. I dont think we can get rid of Zeke. Cutting him kills us if I remember correctly. Pollard better be used more. The running game needs addressed.

QB?? What you gonna do. We got what we got.

12-5 isn't a true picture this is still a mediocre team that needs a lot of fixing, will Jerry do it we shall see, the biggest upgrade would be a new HC sorry the guy is just as bad as the last pretender.
Well....I can see you're frustration, but 12 wins wins is really damn good when you bust your but ...

We weren't close man. Not even medium range missile close. I know you are a Dak supporter, but our off season has started. For that means, supporting this team and it's players like I did throughout the season is over for a couple of months.

Let's look at this season like it really was: a pig in a prom dress. Beating up the bad teams inflated out numbers and that game against Tampa was the only game Dak showed any competence against a good team. And even that might have just been a fluke.

We have many problems, this is true. But it all starts and ends at center, and number 4 just isn't up to the task, doesn't matter from what angle you look at it. I know no trade clause and all. When the next season begins I will support him and this team as always, but during the off season we just have to call him out for what he really is: a 4th round pick that hasn't elevated from that level and is just average at best. And not in his second year, but his sixth, so there won't be much development from here on. To this point we can't even say he has an A game vs good teams since he never showed it this season.

I'm not dissing you or any Dak fan, he's our QB and we gotta deal with it. But at least in the off season we can call him and all the others out equally.

What I'm saying is, blowing it all up won't do crap if there is no change at center. Heck, let Brady coach him, get a backup that really challenges him or whatever, but something has to be done.

I said at his hiring I didn't like it, first of all even with Aaron Rodgers he had ONE Super Bowl win, ONE.
And no NFL coach ever won a SB with 2 different teams. Didn't want to have to depend on making coaching history with our new coach.

Was Landry a head coach somewhere before Dallas? Nope. How about Parcells? Noll? Shula? Heck, Jimmy wasn't even an NFL coach of any kind.

You want your best chance to win more SBs? Find a top notch OC or DC, a youngster (relatively speaking, not a Moore age guy) and promote.

Bienemy, etc....
