Thank God I AM NOT THE ONLY one who thought that
After the 1st Drive I told my wife, the game is almost over and decided, and she said, but it just started! And I told her, yes it just did but I already know the tone and attitude of my team. this is mot certainly a loss
Even earlier for me.

When our first play was an incomplete pass, right at that moment I said, good chance we lose this game. Why? Because apparently we haven't learned a thing. Passpasspass w/ 16 attempts by RB's is a losing forumula.

Me, sitting on my couch here in Luckenbach, can see this. Explain to me how this org cannot? I truly don't get it. I am not that football smart and have never claimed that I was. Which makes this even scarier.

Dak was by far the weakest link. Not sure there's a close 2nd.
You were that impressed with Elliotts 32 yards, Lambs 1 catch, OL 5 sacks and multiple drive killing penalties , no sacks from defense , not forcing a punt until 3rd qtr and giving up 177 yards rushing and a game killing penalty of their own.

Why would you expect our average to above average QB to overcome all of those weaknesses. Have you bought into the SB hype as well with his 40 million contract?

Some fans want to blame a failed last gasp effort but this game was lost well before this .

We can begin with the 49ers final drive where we knew the defense had to make stop allowing us enough time for a legit shot. With over 7 minutes left when SF took over there was time for a couple more possessions if needed .

But as usual our defense can’t make a stop when the game is on the line . And our rushing defense continue to be exposed. Not to mention Boneheaded penalties without discipline .

14 penalties which were drive killers and in the end a game killer.

And a top paid RB who had 31 yards on 12 carries. For a team that went 11-0 when we rush for 100 yards or more our running game was nonexistent for much of our second half of season and again in this playoff game. And our OL couldn’t hold up with only 4 rushing most of the game.

The matchups and concerns coming in turned out to hold true. We couldn’t protect against their front four. Their defense shut down our running game. And we couldn’t slow their running game. They out gained us 166-77 yards on the ground.

When our defense isn’t creating turnovers they give up tons of yardage and can’t make crucial stops. 49ers scored on their first 4 possessions and we didn’t force a punt until 2nd half.

It’s a similar story and the same blueprint remains out there if you have a good enough defense to execute . Stop our running game and pressure. And an undisciplined and often rattled OL leads league in penalties which puts us behind the chains killing drives .

We roll against lesser teams which creates a perception we are a great offense. And we struggle against better defenses. We still run up numbers when we are making a valiant comeback but it’s not a recipe for success when these dramatic comebacks are needed to overcome all of the weaknesses.

Agreed. This is what this defense gets away with so much. It's not just the total points they give up. It's the little things. SF got the ball back with over half the quarter left. If you want to be considered a good defense, stop SF soon and get us the ball back with good field position. But nope. SF converts 3 straight 3rd downs. Even when we get the ball back, it's 85 yards away and it was a do or die drive. That sums up this defense the most. They just don't have what it takes to take the next step.

Did the offense play very bad at times? Absolutely. But this defense had a chance to step up on that final drive and failed to do so. They also had a chance to get Dallas the ball back with more time but Gregory the bonehead committed a penalty.

Yup. 9ers were more physical. We’ll never know whaat could’ve been if we stick with Pollard. Packers will beat the 9ers. Two high safety will be run or quick pass and one high will be shots down the field. So disappointed we didn’t run more.

If we are 11-0 when rushing over 100 yards why have we aborted our running game or have defenses cemented the blue print to stop this offense ?

Or is this new identity for our offense to promote a 40 million QB we’ve over hyped and over paid? It might at least explain why some fans expect him to carry us when all else fails.

all the money is on the offense, its like the colts with peyton, the offense has to show up, and didn't

Not only his deal but other over hyped and over paid talent. It’s a virus throughout this dysfunctional organization.

Dak wasn’t the only star to under perform this game.
He was by far the primary one. Getting top pay comes w/ several automatic included actions, the top one being running a consistent O. In the playoffs, things are mostly not going to be perfect. If a QB receives top pay, he is responsible for keeping the O going, for making plays under adverse conditions, for getting the ball to his weapons no matter what. Dak failed in a huge way.

It’s exactly as I thought. You identify his top pay as being an Elite QB which would be expected to carry us.

But what if he’s been over payed because of our dysfunctional ownership. And his salary doesn’t reflect his talent level and ability.

I haven’t bought into the hype he’s one of those guys. I’d suggest our owner had other priorities and was snookered in to his demands much of which was his own doing for over hyping his QB.

No, but he isnt being payed to underperform either, and his cap hit separates an elevates Daks performance expectations.
This can not be argued any further.

We came out flat yesterday. You couldn’t even tell it was a playoff game for us. We allowed the 49ers to march right down the field in only 7 plays in just under five minutes to score a touchdown. We didn’t even look like we cared. This is about as discouraged with the organization as I’ve been in many years.

Of course it can be argued. Because the fact he’s over payed is a flaw in our dysfunctional ownership. No other team in the league would have payed Dak 40 million.

After going 3 and out on our first drive, I knew the script was written for this game. We've seen it over and over and over again.

Mentally weak, undisciplined, poorly coached ... and of course, our maverick owner who is still trying to show the NFL he can do it "his" way.

Yes, and the failed with the fist half running out and to start the second half. When they had to get something done, they failed. It was an awful performance. At the beginning of the season I thought the Cowboys were at best a 9-8 team. Since that 6 game winning streak came to an end, they basically were a 9-8 team and played like one yesterday. They so embarrassed themselves with that game against the Eagles.

We deferred to start the game and got punched in the mouth. Took too long to recover from that shot.

As soon as I saw the first play, a weird sprint right play by Dak that was incomplete and had no chance..I said were in trouble today
And Dak missed Schultz in the middle of
The field on that play.

It’s a shame he’s identified as such.

He’s definitely over paid and not Elite like his salary or hype would lead us to believe. But he is enough to build around and effective when the contributing factors are in place.

But if we’re expecting him to overcome our other weaknesses then he’s not enough. Not many are.

Damn man, do you not understand Prescott IS the weakness. Having to build the team around a deficient QB is too costly and requires too many players in the salary cap era. You pay a QB elite money, he damn well be elite, he has to carry the team.

I understand but my point is he was over paid for reasons that are on our dysfunctional ownership.

I look at Dak like an average over paid QB which is on our ownership.

They’ll have to figure out how to win without the 10 million or so they over paid him.

I’d begin by trimming some of the other overpaid talent like at RB.

Was not able to work the game but when checked the board and saw we were kicking off, I said good we get a 3 and out and then score. I didn’t check the board but was watching a basketball game on ESPN and they showed the breaking score down at the bottom and showed 7-0 them, I said then to my wife game over if they scored that easy.
