Is anyone really upset/surprised?

Nope - the reality started to settle in by November/December when the offense could not snap out the "slump" vs. any decent opponent. They weren't going to magically start turning things around in the playoffs out of nowhere. KC had their own slump but by December, they made adjustments and were back. The Cowboys never recovered

To answer the question posed by the opening poster, no. After the decision made to not revert to an All Pro QB in 2016, it became evident that the team didn't want to actually win a Superbowl so I just treat it as light entertainment and a clown show until the team seriously wants to win a Superbowl.

Hence why I picked the 49ers to beat us.

Surprised No. Upset Yes. I wholeheartedly believe that it doesn't matter what talent we assemble, as long as we don't fix the culture here in Dallas, it will be the same over and over again. These guys don't hunger to win the same way real playoff teams do.

Nope wasn't surprised or angry. The game went pretty much how I expected. Even got the "get your hopes up at the last minute only to violently crush them in the final seconds" finish.

More like disappointed.....you're at home, the fan base at the stadium is actually loud and you finally win a coin toss and defer......and no one shows up....except for the punter...it wasn't even a game until the last 5 minutes. The undisciplined penalties were the last straw...

I don't like that we loss but I didn't get mad or lose any sleep over them losing this game.
How they played yesterday was the same they've played all year so nothing about yesterday surprised me.
I was hoping they wouldn't play that way but you could tell how this game was going to go from the beginning.

I was really upset but then again, not surprised, it happens all the time. We win games we are supposed to lose, then lay eggs in the playoffs on Sundays, especially the late game.

I was rooting for the Boys but I have to admit, when I saw SF start the game by easily going down field to score a TD, and then Dallas started with 3 and out…..I had a bad feeling that early on. I wonder if Quinn and Moore were preoccupied with their interviews coming up.

I told my son then the game was over. Hell, when the first pass sailed on Dak, I went oh God it is going to be one of THOSE games

No, I'm neither upset or surprised. I'm conditioned to expect what happened yesterday. I mean it happens every time.
The Cowboys have a very good year, then blow it in the wildcard/division round. Then they'll have a 500 season or a 6-10 season, get the weaker schedule and have a great season only to blow it again.
It's groundhog day for the cowboys all the time.
