This season, I thought we had a chance to get a couple of playoff wins. We were winning games despite injuries and those infected. This game changed that idea. I don't have a lot of optimism for next season. I assume there will be a bunch of changes and we'll struggle to be relevant.
They will always be relevant, that's the real problem.

No I'm not referring to the stadium window. We know thats still open.

-There are other teams that are up and coming and loaded with talent. In our division Philly has 3 first rounders, the giants 2 (albeit they are much further away). But Philly is a threat.

- We have a bunch of free agents we can't sign. Most on defense.

This is going to be the same team. Maybe worse. Explain to me how this team wins the next two seasons? Especially if Brady and Rodgers are still in the NFC next year. (even if they aren't the rams and cardinals are still better).

It's been closed for 26 years since Jerry jinxed us.

Does Brady retire, Rodgers move to the AFC, Murray get injured, Shanahan retire or do Watson and/or Wilson end up in the East?

The window was open because the Cowboys did not play GB, LAR or SF in the regular season and they did play AZ and TB and lost to both. They were the 6th best team in the NFC this season.

I think so. They have too many players to pay in free agency that they won’t be able to hold on to, and the offensive line is no longer a strength. Needing to rebuild that and having to lose some of the best players to FA will be too much.

Not sure the window was ever open or closed for this franchise. They have had three good teams since the '95 Super Bowl: 2007, 2014 and 2016. All three were flawed and failed for their own reasons.

Dallas is a year to year franchise. They may have a year that they catch lightening in a bottle, similar to the three years I noted above. But to think they will have some level of consistency as a perennial playoff team or one that has a chance to contend year after year for a 5 year stretch, would be foolish. I don't see them being any good next season. This wasn't a "build on this" type of year IMO. It was lightening in a bottle and they failed to do anything with it.
