5 F and -6 windchill. That was even too cold for New England. Bill Bell. looked like a snow man waiting for the Spring thaw. You have to be conditioned to play in that weather as the hits are felt much harder and you have to get the body used to the hits. Looks like every hit on a NE Player was that much more painful. I remember getting my ankle kicked playing soccer in the frozen weather, I was used to it because I practiced in it but the kick split my ankle open like someone hit me with a sharp knife. It was a clean 2 inch cut that took forever to heal.

The Bills looked like polar bears frolicking in the snow. You can tell they were well conditioned and prepared. When NE was feeling down in that weather it was in a logarithmic fashion; it looked like they just wanted to get into that locker room ASAP.

I am pretty sure the Ice Bowl was much colder, but if anyone wants to compare the two temps, every degree matters at that point.

The Ice Bowl started at -13 with a wind chill of -48, and got down to -18 according to a CBS article from a few days ago.
I was able to find the game on Hulu some years back. I might want to watch it again.

The weather played no role. At this point in time the Bills are that much better.
