Sad to see 2 different styles of QB. One that’s really good and another that is afraid. Of everything..
Jekyll and Hyde all in one season. I don't know if he can recover. It looks bad that he can't overcome defensive adjustments.

Joe Burrow wishes he had our offensive line.

For you PFF geeks.. I believe they have our Oline ranked as #1.
They didn't play like it yesterday. Not sure what happened to the quick passes though. We fell in love with the screen which we could not run effectively and stopped throwing the quick slant to Cooper or CeeDee which seemed unstoppable early in the season.

Unless we can find someone that jumps off the charts then Dak is the guy..
You can't find someone when you are not looking and Jerry isn't looking. Dak will be a Cowboy for a long time. The Cowboys will be doing the same thing as they have for the last 25+ years. Stuck in the middle of the road.

Dak is who he is
He is not going to improve

We have to take the ball out of his hands and become a running team and a defensive oriented team

Need 2 starters on OL (OC and LOG)
Need a difference maker at 1 DT
Need a starter at MLB who can hit and run
Sign our safeties esp Kearse and Hooker
Draft a RB with balance, power and speed (the SF RB was a 6th round pick LOL) to pair with Pollard.
Pollard will be gone after next year. . If his foot is not a permanent career changing injury.

very true but you have to get the ball the receiver accurately so they can turn up field quickly. even when we have those opportunities it seems the passes are behind, too high, too low or just un-catchable.

Exactly.

All this talk about moving on from Cooper is silly talk. He has atleast a couple more years before they consider it.

Gallup won't be back.
The biggest issue we have on this line is No blocking TE. Age and loyalty and we need a stud LG to help Smith.

Conner Williams and Conner McGovern are over matched in the middle in a power run scheme.

Dallas has to have a Legit TE. Schultz will be gone and we need to cut Jarwin.
I would aim for O.J. Howard or David Njoku. Then loom for a beast TE who blocks first in the draft 3rd day.

0 sacks, 3 tfl!

It's called Randy Gregory is a joke. And we have no NT like DT who can get a push up the middle. Or who can take on two players to free everyone else up.
I don't care if our DT has no past rush moves.
That's for our 3tech DT.
ODI AND NEVILLE have the 3tech spot.
Find our gut puncher DT who just takes thw shots

It's clear Dak has to have a clean pocket and run game to operate. Well, we might as well do our best to give him that since we are stuck with him currently. Need to fix the LG/C positions as best we can. Maybe try to ride T. Smith for another season and hope he can stay somewhat healthy. Trade Collins or put him at G. Tell him he is going to G. Don't ask him.

In a playoff game we couldn’t even get 1 sack. I really figured before the game that we would have gotten at least 3.. No wonder we never had a chance. He was never afraid..

against a statue QB who can’t throw and has a gimpy LT

our DL is not good

That’s the first and one of the only things we need to do. Today the O-Line coach should be fired. Way to many penalties over the season. Some that cost us big time…

I do hope Dak improves this offseason. After the injury he has not looked the same. The QB draw at the end of the game should have been not only earlier in the game but through the season. He has to take off. It’s part of his game. Takes the pressure off some of the Offense..

By the end of the game I was out of it. Just checked out. If they don’t improve expect the same. We knew they would run the ball but letting the qb look that good was bad.
I agree. I said it in couple of other threads and posts. Dak ain't going anywhere for the next two years...so how can we fix this team? improve it? its the OL. we have to be able to run the ball to be effective. we have to force defenses to committ more to stopping the run and rushing the passer, instead of rushing 4 getting to the QB and dropping 7.

we have to get back to 2016.

Hopefully with Cox being back and maybe another linebacker in the first round, it’ll free up Micah to come up the middle and open up avenues for the pass rushers next season.

We couldn’t get to him. It’s crazy that they were able to get to Dak with just 4. Our hands were tied because we couldn’t use Micah more freely to create those opportunities for the pass rushers as our linebacker depth wasn’t deep.

Yeah and we are supposed to have this #1 O-Line. This is bs. No way. I don’t know who is ranking this. If we had that then Dak would have 4 or 5 seconds. And we would be running the ball. This is on the coaching. They are not power blocking for the run. They are trying to pass block and they never did that well. They are holding in order to even try.. Get a good coach and that helps. I heard Colombo was let go from the giants and wondered why he wasn’t brought in..

Not the only thing but #1, 2 and 3. After that, 2 DTs who aren't gouged in the run game. Then a true star caliber TE. But only in that order.

Get rid of Collins.

Steele should have remained the starting OT.
Should have plugged Collins in at left guard and left Steele at right tackle to begin with. But I am ready to get rid of him as well as the center and move on from Williams. They need to fire McCarthy's buddy Philbin cause he is stealing JJ's money. We need to quit living off of past reps that the media gave them as elite. Need a few more personnel with a dawg mentality and willing to block for the backs to take pressure off of the passing game. Caudle the athletes and you get soft players. Hold them accountable and replace them if they are hurt. No way Zeke should have been playing with his injury. Was Tony Pollard still hurt? The next man up was Corey Clement and Ito Smith. Penalties are coachable but yet we get them in spades every game just about with no changes all season. Head coach not accountable and position coaches not held accountable otherwise they would have been cut down and not reoccurring. Caudle the coaches....Coming out flat is on McCarthy solely for this playoff game.

Availability made Connor Williams a key member of the Dallas Cowboys offensive line in 2020, but even that couldn’t save him from what turned out to be a disappointing contract year for him in 2021. Sadly, the Cowboys starting left guard played below expectations this year. He not only ended up losing his starting job to Connor McGovern for a few games, although it didn’t last, but he also ended up being one of the more penalized players in the league. The amount of laundry that ended up being thrown because of him put the team in unfavorable down and distances too many times. And if that wasn’t enough, he was inconsistent in his blocking. The Cowboys offensive line didn’t play well overall, but Williams was a problem.
