The bottom line is Dak didn't deliver

I think our best chance is to blow it up right now and start a rebuild.

I think there is one option before that. There are teams in worse situation than we are. We should try to find a team who can sell a trade for Dak as an improvement to their fan base. Convince Dak that a change of scenery is in his best interest and skate away from this like Philly & LA did.

If not, then yes. Jettison players & try to be retooled by the team the turd finally flushes.

Dak wasn't good at all yesterday. He didn't see open receivers, he held the ball, he made bad decisions and wasn't accurate. He isn't and never will be elite. But, he wasn't the only one who had a bad game so don't pretend he was the only reason we lost. Our run game was a disaster, CeeDee was invisible, the coaches were horrible and our D couldn't stop the run or cover on 3rd down and the penalties were just atrocious. Which of our 3 All Pros played like All Pros yesterday? Team game. These agenda threads are tiring and boring and do nothing but rile up the Dak haters and the Dak lovers.

It ind pick on a Qb since 1989. We got lucky with Romo who underachieved but had all the tools. Dak doesn't have all the tools and comes with a much lower ceiling. But, I understand the salary cap and I know we are stuck with him.

They way you win with Dak Prescott is by turning him back into the bus driver QB he was in his rookie year, and building the defense. He should be focused on moving the chains by any means necessary.
Dak Prescott
23 43 254 1 1 69.3

Actually those were the numbers to be exact but in the grand scheme of things 69.3 isnt all that much better than 27.1. 69.3 and 50% completion wont win you many regular season games, never mind playoffs.
Last year a QB posted completion percentages of 55.0, 54.5, and 55.6 to go along with 3 interceptions in 3 NFC playoff games. That QB was Tom Brady. Just saying, a team CAN carry a QB, even one we all admit is the goat.

Unfortunately, we need that to happen with Dak and it's a shame because we paid him to be Patrick Mahommes and he ain't that. He's a bus driver who we need to simplify and dumb down the offense. We can ***** and moan about the contract, but the money is gone and we have to deal with the reality of Jerry's blunder.

Sure. Let's just take an almost $60M cap hit and trade our QB. And to be clear convincing a team to take Dak wouldn't be hard. You know how quickly he'd be gobbled up when he only costs a new team as little as $26.5 per year for two years or at most $28M per year for 3 years if he works out?

I know that this is another Dak hate thread, but the team, as a whole, was trash. I agree that Dak cannot lead this team past the NFC elite.

23-7 - the score entering the 4th quarter
27.1. Daks QBR for game
1-3. Dak's career playoff record

We can blame MM.....the refs......bottom line is that Dak didn't deliver. The players play the game and no cowboy was more underwhelming than Dak Prescott. He could not get the offense moving until SF was basically in a prevent defense.

Its on to season 7 for Dak. I hope this performance will linger in our collective memories so we can have fewer arguments next season over who this guy is. He is gutless and not a big game QB. He pads his stats against bad teams and playing catch-up against prevent defenses.

So next year when he torches the Giants for 500 yards and 8 TDs, anyone who starts posting about how great he is should be automatically considered a buffoon.

this does not have to linger for me

I already know who he is and was arguing against paying him

he’s a bus driver and not a good one at that

I am citing the QBR. You are citing the RTG. 2 different grading scales. Pointing to Brady is absurd. Even when he has a bad game playing outdoors in January. He will find a way to move the ball and score when the game is on the line. Does that sound like Dak?

It doesn't work that way though. Once they know your weaknesses, they are going to exploit you until you prove you can beat it. They know he can't & so does he.

No reason he can't do what Jimmy G just did.

Never said it was easy or appealing. Can you really send him onto the field again and expect anyone to take you seriously? Even his teammates?

We're stupid for arguing about something we CANNOT control. If we have problems with players, it doesn't matter because there is NOTHING we can do about it but whine like a bunch of *******. Jerry Jones owns 26 years of failure, Jerry Jones owns all of this mess.

The Dak era needs to be over or he needs to give back half of his salary so we have a chance to compete.

The Jones’s are morons for that deal.
I want it to be over too. People can blame MM, KM, etc but this falls on Dak. You are the QB, the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. You can't be looking lost, unsure of yourself, panicky, etc like he looked yesterday and in some of these other games throughout the season. I so wish Jerry had not caved to the media pressure of giving Dak that contract. He is not close to worth it. I rooted for him to succeed but he is just not the answer to lead this team going forward.

Bad management lead to a bigger Dak contract than needed.

Play calling was bad. O LINE WAS BAD. Dak could not overcome. An elite QB throws in to tight windows and makes it look easy a la Rodgers. I wanted Dak to be elite but no. This team can’t beat good teams. I forgot the last time. GB will probably demolish 49ers. Watch them exploit alignment. They will rarely run with 8 in the box and rarely throw with 7 in the box. Lots of short passes when they are in zone to the flat. Clinical Rodgers is my prediction.

I wasn't citing anything but completion percentage and the picks. Brady was not the reason Tampa won last year, if you can't see that it's not worth talking about. The team carried him.
But Dak can't even play well enough to let the team carry him. He's afraid to pull the trigger downfield, and he won't take the easy yards when they are available. He is definitely the anti-Brady in that he shrinks in the big moments. I totally agree with you final point. We had the ball on the 50 yard line needing a TD to win with 2 minutes and three timeouts. What odds would you give Brady there? I'd say 80-90%. Dak didn't even get another first down and wasn't particularly close on any of the four plays.

I been saying this for the pass few weeks, I personally believe that this dude is showing up to game drunk or loaded on something because he level as the year went on got bad, I mean real BAD! Way to slow with his reads, constantly missing wide open receivers running free and throwing passes that were so bad it was knocking his own receivers of their routes. Yesterday was a great example of that with his passes to RBs either over their head or thrown behind them. Romo kept pointing out how guys were getting open, but Dak wouldn't throw them the ball and he was looking in their direction, so it doesn't make any sense!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Brady
2. Rodgers
3. Mahomes
4. Allen

Those are the elite QB’s.

One comes along every 5 years or so. Not easy to get when every team wants one.
You are 100% right, but that doesn’t mean that teams shouldn’t try to upgrade the QB position. I have read numerous posts saying that we should be happy with Dak because it is hard to find good QBs. One thing is for certain, finding a great QB will never happen if they don’t even try. If the scouts can not evaluate QBs, then they need new scouts.
