Does anyone think Dak is better than Romo was?

Dak has made mistakes, and he does need to improve on those mistakes, but no QB could have played well getting sacked 5 times, hit 14 times, hurried even more than that in any playoff game. Period.
No argument here and again I don’t think he’s the main issue but he’s certainly part of it: his response to pressure and his in accuracies cannot be overlooked and I’m not sure after 6 years it’s going to get better

he was hurt this year so I’m hoping maybe that was part of his issue but I’m not optimistic yesterday reminded me a lot of the game in Atlanta when Tyron was out and the back up allowed 6 sacks

yes the Oline sucked but his reaction to it was not good

Yeah, Romo did worse in the playoffs with better blocking. Romo never was sacked 5 times and hit 14 times while throwing for 2 TDs in any playoff game he ever played in, yet y'all say Dak is the problem?

Put the personal hate aside and understand what is truly the problem. It's not the QB.
Not a Dak hater, just speak the truth.Starting w/ the Denver game he was horrible w/ the exception of the two games against the practice squads of Philly and Wash.

It was a continuous choke play to play. Dak doesn't belong in the same sentence as a Tony Romo..one of the most clutch 4th quarter QB's of all -time.
"Romo one of the most clutch 4th. quarter QBs of all time" [In the regular season]. **Don't forget about his Playoff blunders that costed us wins.

I was livid when Romo wasn't even given a chance to compete in 16 and basically tossed to the curb like yesterday's trash. I mean Romo had his bad games. But to me,Tony was definitely a smarter QB as well as a better passer. Seemed to make lesser WRs better. Dak should be all world with this talent and he's not. He's an average QB propped up by the talent of the roster. Give him lesser receivers he's below average.
He had how many years to take us places and didn't, just like the QB now. We need a 1st round pick. Get your tongues out of Romo and Daks backside, and let's move forward with a #1 pick. Jesus Christ.

Are you kidding? Have you watched this Oline the past 3 years? Did you watch the 49ers Oline? They totally dominated...constantly get a push and opening up huge holes for their RBs while keeping our Dline from even getting a sack on Garoppolo. Kyle Shanahan (like his dad) understands what is key to a successful team, and it starts with a well coached Oline. That's what his dad was known for...coaching up and building top of the league Olines. Dallas doesn't have that. Until we fix the Oline (and Dline) with better position coaches who know how to make them better, it won't matter what talent we get at QB, RB, WRs, LBs, DBs, etc.

So who are these better position coaches that will magically fix this offensive line? I still think this line is leaps and bounds better than some that Romo had to deal with.

Romo played most of his career under Garrett. That should say everything you need to know about Romo. I have never seen one player be more responsible for a teams success or failure. Almost every game's outcome depended on his play alone. There were many games where he would bring them back to take the lead late and defense will give it right back. There were many games he led them to victory at the end. And, there were many games he failed on the last drive. It was one of these scenarios every week with Romo, but with him at least you knew there was a chance to win every game. Those teams that went 8-8 was a miracle.

With Dak, you know, you expect, the team to come out flat and make a big comeback in the 4th qtr, but fall short. His efforts are misleading because as fans we believe there was a chance to pull it out, but in reality, there was never a chance. Romo made us believe and we have carried over that with Dak. Once we accept what Dak really is we will not be be disaapointed.

He did. Jimmy Johnson started him in the playoffs.

Started who in the playoffs? If you mean Steve Beuerlein, you'd be right. He started and finished the playoff game against Chicago. Then started in the playoff game against the Lions.

I don't forget but if the guy ever had this defense and line he would have a few SB's imo.

No, I think Romo was a more mechanically sound QB that continued to improve his game until he retired. The QB he was in 2014 was vastly improved from the QB he was in 2007.

I think Dak hit his ceiling - inconsistent velocity on his throws, the trouble leading his receivers, poor pocket awareness. There are things you just can't improve on this late in your career. Sucks, but it is what it is.

So Romo peaked 10 years into his career, but Prescott reached his ceiling in 6? And I kindly left out Romo's two years on the bench.

Prescott doesn't choke? How do you describe his performance yesterday?
Pretty damn good considering. People just want an escape goat. It was preparation discipline nothing else why we lost that game

I completely forgot. I just remember Aikman playing in Detroit and there was a controversy around it. Fans wanted to continue with SB.

Dak was awful yesterday. Watch the game again, without the rose colored glasses.

I did watch him. And sometimes he was spectacular. He maybe had one or two bad reads. But you can’t take the speed of the game into consideration. No he wasn’t as bad as you think he was. If you think this was just on him. Maybe you should watch the game again. He was better than Garoppolo and they won

No, it wasn't "just on him". I never implied that. But he was awful. Garoppolo was throwing darts to his guys in stride, while Dak was throwing paper airplanes. He threw a few good ones, but most of them weren't good throws, and that's when he actually found the open receiver. There were plays that he had wide open receivers and never even tried to throw to them. His pocket awareness was crap. He was hot garbage.
