Which is everything but talk.McClay does the GM duties that Booger doesn't want to do.

I don't disagree with that at all. Absolutely Jerry and Stephen only maintain their front office positions because they own the team. They are, without a doubt, a problem.Fair point, but here's where I disagree. Teams don't go 25 years with 3 playoff wins with the same two guys being GM and Director of Player Personnel. They would've been fired 20 years ago after three straight 5-11 seasons.
New decision makers mean a chance for better decisions. These guys have been at it for over a quarter century with next to nothing in terms of postseason success. What logical reason is there to think they're suddenly going to figure it out and put together a championship team?
Sure, we can hope - what else can fans do? But as I said in one of the "believe" threads this season, I'll believe it if/when I see it. Until that happens, if it ever does, I have no good reason to think Jerry and Stephen are capable of building a champion.
Candidate for post of the year 2022...In the 26 years since the Cowboys last won a divisional playoff game, and last appeared in a conference championship, the following have been tried to get back to playoff glory:
GMs get credit when you win championships. And they get criticism when they don’t. In fact, in 30 other NFL cities the ones not winning playoff games get fired. But not in Big D where if your name is Jones, there is no accountability for failure.
- 6 different head coaches
- 7 different offensive coordinators
- 8 different defensive coordinators
- Over 70 different assistant coaches
- 20 different QBs have started regular season games and 3 different QBs have started playoff games in that span.
- One owner/GM
There’s plenty of blame to spread around tonight. The Players, the coaches…they all sucked today. But the guy MOST responsible- BY DESIGN- will be back again next year. One year older and not any wiser.
Honestly, he is part of it now as he has been here so long.Sadly, McClay can’t fix this sick, excuse laden culture.
Which is everything but talk.
It is stunning. He will carry it to this grave. In fact...all of us will carry a flaw to our grave. Now over the course of our lives there will be flaws that we will correct. You would like to think with the amount of money and accolades he has ALREADY received...this would be a flaw he would have corrected...but I think that ship has sailed. He is a narcissistic egomaniac. And as I said in another thread...when he is no longer here...the stories that come out will confirm what many of us have long suspected.I’ve become convinced that the biggest thing driving this ego-maniac to be the absolute face of the franchise for his team is an unbelievable insecurity that he cannot get enough “credit” no matter what. That’s a big time high level psychological mess.
Your forgot Shy Junior.Worst part is, there’s no end in sight. Just wait until Stephen steps up and you’re looking at another 30 years of the same outcome. Literally, people born in 1996 might die of old age before a jones is no longer GM
1996 I sold my season tickets for the Dallas Cowboys because I knew the Arlington Jonesboys would never win anything worth going to a stadium to see. The Dallas Cowboys were disbanded March 29, 1994. I gave them 2 years to get rightIn the 26 years since the Cowboys last won a divisional playoff game, and last appeared in a conference championship, the following have been tried to get back to playoff glory:

He’s a fan of himself first and foremost. He’s got some kind of weird, deep-seated insecurity that drives him to always be the center of everything at all times. I used to think when he was elected to the HOF for his business contributions he would start backing off. Nope. And he turns 80 in October. He thinks he’s still 50.Amen, Brother, Amen.
I was out shopping and some fans were going round and round and I said nothing will change until the Jonses are gone. Jerry angered the football Gods by pushing Jimmy out over his own ego. We had something special and Jerry just killed out because he wasn't getting the credit for it. I'm begining to think only when the Jones family is gone will ever see another Super Bowl. If Jerry was true fan as he insists he'd see this too. He's no fan of the Cowboys.
