I think the most concerning thing all night was Diggs avoiding contact like the plague. I know he is a ballhawk, but his willingness to loaf around and not attack the ball carrier is absurd.
In the old days those were called business decisions. I would say the bigger problem is his ability to play man.

I mean if throwing your body horizontally at a WR is being physical then he is doing it wrong. He wanted no part in actually tackling someone.

I've seen Diggs play physical, not only yesterday, but all season. I guess we view tackling and playing physical as two different things. Thats cool too.

I would say this is definitely something he is going to need to figure out and coached on moving forward.
Teams are taking advantage of his aggressiveness. He has been being smoked by double moves.

Yesterday was the most aggressive he’s been all season in this regard Lolol. Weird post.
Not what I saw yesterday........the league knows that not. Not willing to engage physically. He needs to change that fast. SF showed no respect.

I said early in the season: he's very much like Deion Sanders.
He is nothing like Sanders, unless you are only referring the lack of desire to tackle. Diggs is not a good cover corner, he's a gambler with elite ball skills. Sanders was a complete shutdown corner who erased 1/2 the field from the offensive game plan.

This has nothing to do with yesterday, but I really think we should consider trading him now for picks. We'll never get more for him, and the accolades he got are going to fuel him to keep playing that game, which will eventually kill us in big games when teams double move him. Try to get a 2023 first along with something else, and hope the team we use gets a top 10 pick and there's a top QB available.

Didn't he get nailed early on as well? Proper smashed to pieces by Kittle from memory. Diggs Didn't want to know.

Diggs is not in the same zip code as Sanders

Diggs was junk all day.

In all fairness, when the wide receiver can run his full route and then still have time left over to improvise to a new route……the defensive line isn’t getting it done

not saying Diggs doesn’t need to improve things, it’s just that other issues contribute to it and expose it

He is not worth what he will get as a FA, so they should just let him go when the time comes.

The top 4 pass catchers on the 49ers caught about 12 balls for 130 yards. Diggs got beat really one time. people have to relax.

He’s the least of my concerns. Although I’d love to see him more in like a cover 3 type defense. I’m glad he got experience in lot of man coverage this year it will make him better.

Run defense was the issue.

He got absolutely dogged out on that one route, but he was trying to make a play that we desperately needed. That’s going to happen with aggressive corners. I’m cool with it as long as he keeps getting interceptions.

We forget that this is his fourth year playing corner. He’s still extremely raw and depends on his skill set more than he does technique. Once he gets the technique down, he’s going to be scary good

I watched the highlights this morning and it was really alarming how much he didn't hustle and how disinterested he seemed in getting involved in even slightly physical play. That's going to be a problem if he thinks there's one set of rules for him and another set of rules for everyone else.

He has to get tougher and be willing to force the edge on runs and WR screens.

He's been making 'business decisions' all year. Poor coverage skills, good ball skills but jumps routes. Maybe look for a trade at the right price
