NO not in any scenro..Wilson has now went from elite to Dak hes not offering much more then dak, period.

he also couldn't overcome his OL., no run support and weak defense,

so its utterly ridiculous you think Wilson is worth dak and 2 firsts that's insane.

ill take Mahomes for that..Wilson nope

Fair enough. You can call it ridiculous if you want, that’s fine. But luckily, I don’t have to abide by your subjective opinion of what constitutes rationality

There is precedent for foolish trades with Seattle. See Christine Michael. I believe Dallas sent a third to Seattle for him and cut him a few weeks later only to see Michael sign with....Seattle.

Stop Already. You just sound stupid.
Care to share an actual analytical opinion? What makes me sound stupid? Give me true reasons for it and I may respect it. I feel like I’m talking to 8 year olds on here sometimes.

Wilson wouldn't matter here. With Fat Mike and Kellen Moore? With Quinn potentially gone and a regressing O-line? And no money to do anything else? Wilson would be better off going to the Jets. We are going to be worse than people think for at least a couple seasons.

I’m not exclusively blaming Dak. I’m offering, in my opinion, a better option at the most important position on the team. Or since it’s Dak, are we not supposed to still want the best talent possible?

As for the rest of what you said, I agree. There are a lot of issues to fix on this team. I never once proclaimed otherwise. Nor will I ever.

It’s funny you want to bash those of us who are “emotionally whining” about this, yet you posted this message that was entirely emotionally driven lol.

We get it, you love Dak. There’s nothing wrong with that. But don’t hypocritically call me emotional for posing a simple and reasonable question.
Its not better, that's the point.IMO its not much imposrivemnt at all given rw has dropped off a little and now is basically Dak when hes got issues. So you are basically trading a100$ bill for $50.00 that not good investment. THey are both worth $100 right now..

again Mahomes and Rogers and maybe Allen are worth two firsts and qb ranked around 10... you are undervaluing dak period.

Did you not see any Seahawks games this season? The Russ you're thinking about no longer exists.

Did you see that Seahwks team? Not many starters would be starting in Dallas.

Give Russ this Dallas team and we would be playing this week and you know it....

I think Seattle would be desperate for picks since the jets own theirs.

I don’t think Prescott would agree given his no trade clause. Also, I’m not sure it would be a big difference to the team given their cap/FA situation next year. Wilson on this year’s team would have very well meant a super bowl, but I’m not optimistic about next year.

But I agree with the spirit of the post. It’s a realistic trade, and I like Wilson way more than Prescott.

Trade Pre June 1st.

Instant dead cap of 57.8mil, which would create 23mil more cap hit on the books for 2022, since his cap hit for 2022 as is 34.5mil.

Trade Post June 1st

Dead Cap of 14.45mil, savings of 20mil on the 2022 books.
Dead cap of ~43mil in 2023

There is no realistic trade proposal for Prescott unless you can get Andrew Luck to play for the min in 2023
Appreciate you doing the research into the actual ramifications! You’re right, it’s unrealistic

No way.... the team was a mess through and through against the 49ers. Absolute mess.

Didn’t they hang 50 on a Cardinals team Dallas couldn’t beat?

If consensus is that Dak ranks 1-5 slots higher than Wilson, and is five years younger than Wilson, why would we need to sweeten the offer with 2 number ones?

we dont know this

we saw russ fail for the exact reasons dak has, OL issues, no run support, and weak defense. Delusional fans think RW is 2 first Better then dak RIGHT NOW,

maybe Mahomes. rogers or or giant Maybe on Josh Allen is worth that

bradys out over age.

Russ was having an MVP season until he got injured (10 TD's and 1 Int in 4 and half games) then he came back and took a while to get it right until his last 3 games where he had 9 TD's and 1 Int... + he had a horrible team, common.

I don't know that at all. Our OL wasn't all that much better than theirs, so Russ would likely have been running for his life as often as Dak was. I also can't see how RW's presence would have kept us from being the most penalized team in the league.

I can appreciate where you’re coming from there. Those reasons make way more sense than the stuff you were saying before.

Unfortunately, we both know we’ll never be trading for a young, absolute elite QB.

What about Deshaun Watson? Would you do it? lol

That's why I said we need a new HC because not even Russ could overcome this HC, but common, Russ is a much better QB than Dak.

Nah, Wilsons is not elite anymore.

I would just suffer the next 3 years with Dak, but rebuild the team instead of trying to "win now". There is no "win now" situation that exists when Dak is your QB.

When Dak's contract is up the only big contracts we should have on the books should be Lamb, Parsons, and Diggs.

We should be using the next 3 years getting a solid foundation in place for a real QB to take over.

I'm not sold on CD or Diggs just yet. Especially Diggs. And what I mean by sold is, making them highest paid player at their positions. I'll treat them like Byron Jones. If they get a big crazy offer, then go, give us the highest compensation picks. Parson I have no problem with at all. We need more players like him.

Since most now now, Dak has problems, we need to make this a running team again with tons of play action. We don't run block very well. Bring in someone like Bill Callaghan again even though he's old. Make him a consultant or something. Since Zeke, and it kills me to say this since he's one of my favorite players, he's a shell of his former self. Draft a RB in the 3rd because if Zeke got wore down and he's built like a tank, Pollard's fate would be worse if he's the featured back. Spend some equity on our offense line like we did with the D last year. I'm not saying we should spend 90 percent like last draft on the D, but more than two, like we did last draft. BUT! With hardly no cap and tons of defensive FAs, we will have holes there too. I can see why Jerry basically said it's Super Bowl or bust. Next year's schedule is tough too. But I'll be here next season waving my big pom-poms again supporting and making bold predictions again setting myself up for another failure. Lol That's how I roll!

I never said I would do the trade. I threw out a hypothetical question, without doing any research into the cap ramifications.

A question asked on a discussion board. Pretty elementary and base level stuff.

And seeing as the topic has gotten a lot of discussion, it obviously wasn’t quite as terrible as you seem to think it is.
