Since the Cowboys love to sign their own guys instead of looking elsewhere I say that they'll sign 10 of these players in the offseason.

Kearse and Anger are the players I'm impressed with, would like to keep them.
Schultz has received well but I have a feeling Dak could have any decent replacement look about as good.
Keeping at least one of the WRs for the sake of continuity and avoiding opening too big of a hole in the roster might be wise.

But the names in all of these free agent threads, without actual numbers attached, are impossible to give thumbs up or thumbs down to.

Big list here...

Come next year you'll probably see that 12 and 5 number but it will be turned around. Cowboys will go at best 5 - 12 next season with our $40 million dollar QB.....................Ha-Haaaaaaaaaaaa!

must have

Anger
Hooker

At right price only

Schultz
Gregory

if we move on from Cooper then either Gallup or Wilson

have to upgrade at OL, DL, LB

LVE
C. Wilson
Gregory

Those are the guys that would best balance out ability to replace and cost. We’re not going to find a #3 WR, starting LB and DE in the draft.

And obviously Anger.

If Dan Quinn accepts a HC offer, he's going to tell his new GM to go after some of those Cowboys' FAs from the defense.
Good. Kearse is the only one I really want. Jerry will overpay for Gregory because he's Jerry's guy.

There is plenty of cap to be hard. I believe yesterday we can free up around $8 million this and around $12 million next just by releasing Lewis and Jarwin.

Their focus should be

Tier 1
Schultz, Kearse, Gregory

Tier 2
Vander Esch, Hooker

We should be able to bring back 1-2 upper tier guys and a few lower tier players.

i agree with that. Gallup may come back on small deal.

I like to see them keep Gallup & Kearse. The rest touche'. Including non FA's as Elliott, Hot Boyz Jaylon Smith, Penalty Kings Gallimore (cost Dallas 2 games) & Gregory.

Let's not forget our wonderful kicker, Zuerlein who cost Dallas 3 games all by his lonely self. Pathetic!
Jaylon Smith was released quite some time back.

I’m not sure I would even try to sign Gregory. He’s the most overhyped player in team history. He’s not dependable and cannot play the run. Some other team will offer him way too much money just based on the hype. We should’ve released him 2-3 years ago.

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
Anger
Kearse
Hooker on another prove it deal
Armstrong if he's reasonable
Cedric or Turner

The rest can stay or go, if they'll take a team friendly deal. Going to have to lose a bunch of people, just is what it is.

project 2022 NFL salary cap of $208.2M
2022 Boy's cap projection $224.9 million including dead money
2021 carry over $4.3 million
Cowboys $12M over

Must have: (in order)

1. Anger
2. Kearse

Would like: (no order)

Wilson (small dent to piggybank)
LVE ( same as above )
Armstrong ..." "
Watkins ......." "

Do not touch Dak's, Zeke's, or D-law's contracts
Next year or 2 ( find their replacements and move on, fingers crossed)

Redo or extend for extra cash plus this years rollover
Amari - stud
Martin - stud
Tyron - Good player when available / hard to find a good LT
Collins if needed but would rather not, also shove his big *** inside to LG.

Draft DL, OL, LB while looking for prospects for the untouched contracts listed above.

Everybody go deep on 3 ....

If we are going to keep playing like this then your first player to resign is our punter..

With the current cap situation it's hard to envision Dallas being able to resign hardly any of the relevant guys on this list

Rest easy, for we have master capologist Stephen Jones on our side.
