I really wish Jimmy would go scorched earth and tell cowboys fans to boycott the team. Idk how many fans it would work with but my guess is he could get a certain % on board for a couple weeks. Enough to embarrass Jerry.

Sure it would cost him the ROH…. And his association with us. But as fans we’d love him even more.
Lol whatever. Why on earth would Jimmy so that?

What’s Jerry and Stephen going to do about it?

Answer: Nothing. Just business as usual.

That right there is what makes this bad. Nobody will do anything.

Sign some scrubs and draft some rookie. Line up and try again. That’s the plan…
In years past, this is when I start researching college players and getting ready for the draft. This year, not so much.

This is the start of my 60th year as a fan. They'll have to prove they can fix this mess before I get too excited. Go Cowboys

They won’t think anything is wrong. Just some bad luck. They believe in continuity even though what they do brings no results.

Aikman’s playoff record for his first 6 seasons (as a starter in the playoffs) was 7-1.
Not to take away from Troy because he was phenomenal, this was back in the days where all it took was opening up the checkbook to buy a championship level team. Prior to free agency and salary caps, the NFL was what the NBA and MLB are now.

My question is...does anyone really doubt that Romo or Dak would have also been 7-1 with those same teams?

I know everyone is under the delusion around here that qbs are all that you need but this is the ultimate team game...and those teams were LOADED.

Aikman was a 1st round, #1 pick. Neither Romo or Dak could have had the same success, even with the loaded teams. Remember, Aikman got the hell beat out of him and had multiple concussions. The team wasn't stacked when he was drafted.

I can assure you the first person out the door if Jimmy was charge would be Kellen Moore. He would not stand for his play caller not running the football.

Yeah.....not buying just bc he was a #1 pick that he could do it and they couldn't.

Yes, he got the hell beat out of him in the early years but that was also because he was very much a pocket passer with not the best pocket awareness/escapablity.

Romo would be fine in that situation, probably would have thrown a bunch of picks as well...probably would have had some injuries. Dak would get away less but also can take a pounding with his build.

The 1-15 year would have certainly been an interesting test. Aikman's toughness and resolve and ability to persevere through that allowed him to go on and qb this team to 3 super bowls. That is really the only question in my mind, would these two have been able to survive mentally.

Seeing Jimmy tweet this is depressing. Seeing Michael Irvin having to sit on ESPN and get ridiculed for 2 hours is depressing. Not only do our fans deserve better, but so do our legends.

I’m glad he’s doing it
This is the only way Jerry will get beat down enough where he realizes that Dak is not a great QB and that real change is needed

I mean he would probaly quiz him on how to beat a straight zone and scratch his head at the answer.
