While I hope that is true, I have a feeling they will think differently on draft day if the right quarterback is available in the first round either through one of their picks or by trading up.

I suspect they will draft a quarterback with the intent (or company line) of him riding the bench while secretly hoping he gets a chance to beat out Hurts for the starting job at some point.

Notice it says he's earned the right to start in 2022, which I can't say I totally agree with. But, he doesn't say he's earned the right for season after season. If the Eagles are smart they don't pay him and move on after next year. But, I'll take him starting. Lol

There isn't anyone better at his position in this draft, so I can see that...for now.

The only other option would be using those first round picks to try to trade for an unhappy veteran, like Wilson, but the other team has to want to trade him.

Wouldn't this be the year for them to grab a QB in the first? They are not going to have the same draft capital next year. Maybe they are still a little shell shocked from Wentz but if Hurts doesn't work out they could be stuck.

Hurts is terrible. There's a reason why he got benched for Tua - who is terrible too.

All he does is stand in the pocket for 5 seconds, then panics and darts to the sideline for a 3-5 yd gain.

After watching him play against Tampa the other day man he sucks. He might be the worst throwing QB in football beside Taysom Hill

Well I guess that means we’re winning the division again next season. Can’t see Hurts doing any better than he did this season, even with more weapons. Maybe the Eagles beef up their D with those picks and try to win Ravens style.
