Trade Martin, Tron, Collins, Lamb and Jarwin.

Fill every offensive position with league minimum players.

Bring Dak, Zeke, and Cooper in for a meeting and explain to them that their 80 mil per year salaries have necessitated these moves and they are expected to earn their salaries.
I would do the exact opposite as far as trades go. Good players (Martin, Tron, Collins, Lamb and Jarwin) on good contracts.

Dak, Zeke, Cooper and Tank would get a talking to tho and see if they want a future or tell them they plan to cut them soon as it is CAP possible.

Well again I'm wanting to know why our ownership wont get a real GM and Pay for a head coach that has control of his team first....Then maybe we can start getting real info on what players we have.
It’s another beautiful example why we really can’t take this football operation serious anymore.

Who else in the league would have paid him 40 million per? Or Elliott 90 million? Etc..

But we won’t. Jethro likes his stars. They help him sell jerseys and tickets . And hope.

The Cowboys junkies ( fans) will all be lined up again next season for more. Don’t believe me just watch. Lol

It will be another SB or a bust year;)

Dak’s football IQ is average at best. His pocket presence isn’t very good. His accuracy is questionable. For supposedly being a mobile/athletic guy he struggles to escape pressure and seems hesitant to run when he needs to. Some praise his leadership but I don’t see why as the team often seems uninspired and unprepared especially when competing against good opponents.

He isn’t going to become any better. He’s been in the league a while now. I just don’t understand why he was given such a ridiculous contract. Seems like a desperate move in hindsight.

In the end he’s our QB though so I hope he can get it together.
With the contract, we are tied to him, so we go as he goes.
He looked so great the first 7 games, so the ability is there, he is just so inconsistent.

he had a total collapse of any player I have seen in a very long time. he was on fire early in the year. he was good last year. he was improving. and then since the denver game, it was a comedy show. his foot work, the most basic fundamental for a QB became worse than I have seen in high school kids. I pointed to that multiple times, on how bad his foot work was. and it didn't just become bad, it became worse progressively. you do that as a QB, you are inaccurate. then that reverted him back to 2018 when he was holding on to the ball too much, because he didn't trust himself to make the throws and had to see player wide open to throw it and even then he missed often. he used to be good throwing on the run, but he became bad and was better from the pocket (when he was forced to kind of set his feet before throwing). moving to the right was a wild ride, high throws, too far throws. throws to the ground. he was plain bad running to his right and throwing. all of that led to him playing without confidence, lack accuracy, hurry his throws or hold too long, not trust himself and plain sucking.

I maybe over simplifying, but he has to go back and clean up his foot work, else he will sink further. play more desparate and collapse even further than he already has. yes. its that simple.

I've complimented you before but it baffles me that the remaining select group of strong Dak supporters hang on to their egos/pride instead of just manning up and calling it like it is. This stuff is on clear display. Again, I appreciate your personal integrity.

Like it or not, Pappy was right when he posted about the pressure from the outside to improve all of these fundamental flaws you've pointed out here is gonna seriously intensify now. He's become an even more obvious target for the future.

I believe this is the beginning of a continued downward spiral that is gonna become even more obvious next year the more games are played.

Good post.

Anyone want to explain why our ownership overpaid an average QB?
Because we never draft competition at the position, and Jerry got caught with his pants down while protecting Daks precious Ego.
Romos as well.

But he needs the supporting cast to produce. Take key pieces out like Elliott and the running game and or an OL like Smith then he’s not as effective. Especially going up against better defenses.

This is why we have invested so heavily in his supporting cast. We know his weaknesses. But we paid him anyway.

Dak is the perfect QB to build around if you are going to be a run first and strong defensive team with the cap savings of having that type of QB

Whoops......

If not for the language, this would be the perfect place to use the clip from Braveheart where the crazy guy looks at William Wallace and says "The Lord can get me out of this mess, but He's pretty sure your......"

Lol no gonna lie, I laughed when I saw that. That's embarrassing to cry about that, but I do agree with him on Dakaroo

Problem is , with his high contract and several other bad contracts, we cant afford to give him a perfect supporting cast.

And it would accomplish nothing because the Jones' are still in charge.

"Credit to them," Prescott said afterward regarding the home fans who were hurling trash at the officiating crew that left the field in a hurry.

"Don't go there," Pearson said of Prescott's comments. "Whenever the Cowboys lose, it's always somebody else's fault and that's what Dak was trying to do, pass the blame."

Dayum. Might as well be talking to some posters here too with that statement.

And yet, Pearson admits his confidence in Prescott isn't as strong as it once was.

"It's wavered some towards the end of the season," he said. "I was really high on (Prescott) ... when they first drafted him. I was excited about that because of what he did at Mississippi State. He brought that winning attitude there and I thought he could bring that here."

Drew Pearson is just doing what many of the living Cowboys greats do after the present version of the Cowboys fail to win another Super Bowl... eat their own. They make it about themselves by reminding the public how great they were by pointing out how great the current Cowboys were not.

Dak wanted 40 mil. He held out for that people. Remember we offered 30-35 and he said “nope I’m worth more”.

He should not be immune to criticism. It’s the nature of the salary and the qb position.

He wants it to stop play better.
Playmaker.......All good, but just the "We offered".......might be the problem about the money issues regarding our team's players. I think some fans on this board been writing like it's their money to decide salary and contract negotiations. Players aren't robbing the fans........ownership is and has been. Everything else is crystal clear. And certainly criticism is deserving to the higher paid or the likes thereof. As fans, we do deserve to critque them with a higher benchmark. However, rarely is the cry to "Pay that man, he is under paid on that contract." Watch how Beast Parson's love change once the rookie contract is gone.
