I don't mind team legends expressing tough love but I wish it was not in the media. They probably have the young guys number..call him.

Dak’s football IQ is average at best. His pocket presence isn’t very good. His accuracy is questionable. For supposedly being a mobile/athletic guy he struggles to escape pressure and seems hesitant to run when he needs to. Some praise his leadership but I don’t see why as the team often seems uninspired and unprepared especially when competing against good opponents.

He isn’t going to become any better. He’s been in the league a while now. I just don’t understand why he was given such a ridiculous contract. Seems like a desperate move in hindsight.

In the end he’s our QB though so I hope he can get it together.

I agree with you almost entirely. I do think his pocket presence is as good as most QBs. That's the one thing I give him credit for. His contract is for a lack of another option. Not because he's some great quarterback. Burrow and Herbert don't grow on trees.

They overpaid dak because JJ can’t take the media pressure. The media was all over him “how could you not sign this guy”.

And now like clockwork a year later it’s “how could you give this guy 40 mil”

JJ plays right in. Can’t make a decision for himself which is why in surprised he cut Jaylon Smith

And it would accomplish nothing because the Jones' are still in charge.

I would enjoy watching it. Zeke running into a brick wall 30 times a game. Dak running for his life. Cooper ending the year with 20 catches. Here is my lineup until Dak demands to be traded and waives his no trade clause.

LT Josh Ball
LG McGovern
C Biadasz
RG Farniok
RT Steele
TE McKeon
RB Zeke The 18 mil blocking back
WR Cooper The 22 mil disappearing wonder
WR Vasher
WR Fehoco
QB Dak the 40 million dollar man

Anyone want to explain why our ownership overpaid an average QB?
The same reason he paid Romo.

An undrafted guy that overachieved. He thought he found the next Tom Brady.

Tom Brady is the outlier. At the end of the day and when push comes to shove Romo and Dak will revert back to who they really are.

Trade cooper..cut Zeke and bring in a real HC and let him bring his staff....I'm for it, BTW you could trade Dak he would wave his clause and has value...Let him know your rebuilding and bringing in a young QB see what happens....But believe this, if Dak goes to a real NFL organization he will look fine and you guys will need to find another scapegoat.

It is what it is.....can you explain it?
I think so. It’s multi factors .
We waited too long to sign him. If we are all in should have before his Rookie deal expired and probably signed him at 30 mil or less. But we kept waiting for more success to justify a bigger deal. Which is all public perception BS which we lost.

In the end we shouldn’t have caved but knew we were cause we always do on our big stars. Everyone knew Dak wasn’t a top 5 caliber Elite passer. And he wouldn’t have been offered that deal anywhere else. But Jethro was cornered and he wasn’t about to let Dak go after benching Romo for who he thought at the time was our savior.

It’s going to cost us. Not much more than other stars we’ve over paid like Elliott who also cornered Jethro . Similar to how Dez did a few years ago. And Lawrence more recently. We just never seem to be able to get out in front of these Franchise Tags .

Most teams let them walk but not us. And here’s why I think that is because we struggle finding replacements either in FA or thru the draft. Jethro likes his big name stars . They help sell and promote his product at the box office , merch sales and on TV helping keep his franchise “ interesting and relative “ and front and center.

Jethro can sell the hell out 8-8 and mediocrity. This season was a dream for him with all of the SB hype and worth every penny he invested . Unfortunately he sold the fans short again. Being the eternal optimist and snake oil salesman he is I have absolute confidence he’ll find a scapegoat and deliver hope again to those who need it to follow.

And yet, Pearson admits his confidence in Prescott isn't as strong as it once was.

"It's wavered some towards the end of the season," he said. "I was really high on (Prescott) ... when they first drafted him. I was excited about that because of what he did at Mississippi State. He brought that winning attitude there and I thought he could bring that here."

Ya, it's gonna real HOT for 666 as the imposter gig is over for him.
That 160 million $ contract is like cement in his brain and gonna drive to new levels of ineptness next season.
Patience Cowboys brothers at some point we are due a major break as Prescott friendly has outstayed its welcome!

Yea , but then we knew we were over paying him. Just hoping he might live up to his salary. That’s how our dysfunctional ownership operates .

And what about Elliott. His 90 million contract was mostly a waste . Lawrence 105 million . Where was he Sunday . The list goes on.

Yup. Overpaid Tyrone Crawford. Can anyone tell me what significant impact he had on defense to deserve that money? Maybe I missed the bus on this one.

Our ownership knew his flaws but still over paid him.

It’s why we really can’t take this dysfunctional organization serious anymore.
I think Jerry just brought in a Dak highlight reel and said to all that's the guy I drafted heeeeesssss soooooo ah aha ah gooood. It was only a 42 second reel but Jerry was sold at only 42 million a year.
