Do Cowboys Still Have a Super Bowl Window?

In my opinion it could happen In two ways. You bring in a new qb that can do more with less. Or you bring in a coach (like a Sean Peyton). A coach that can get the most out of his players, in what will still be a weak division for another year.

Neither will happen so we'll probably still be mediocre.

I agree.

Only a new coach or QB could make a noticeable impact

Don't see it. 8 starters leaving in free agency. 13 million over the cap. Most of your 2nd contract players are injury prone or past there primes (meaning restructuring is very risky/unlikely).

You need a front office that cares about winning games not only money, then you can a coach that cares about the team, then you can have players that care about winning.

It all starts from the owner.

Maybe in 2 years when the young defense has more time to grow and we can hopefully build up the O-Line in that time while adding some RB's and one more WR & TE.

Of course, Dak will have to grow a bit in that time as well.

Niners went 6-10, 4-12, then 13-3 and to the SB in 2019. Same for TB(5-11, 7-9, SB).
With parity and free agency, windows close but also open quickly.

The cowboys super bowl window closed after Jimmy’s team moved on. We will never win another super bowl with Jerry doing the coach hirings. The last two head coaches with loaded teams did nothing because instead of helping the team, the team had to overcome them instead.

Above average defense could quickly become below average based on who we lose, and more importantly if we lose Quinn. It's likely we ignore defense this year to help Dak look better with the O-line.
WR's are either not the playmakers we thought they were, or Dak can't get them the ball.

This was the window. It wasn't a great chance, but this was it for the next 2-3 seasons.

Probably not. Bad Oline, Zeke in decline, Diggs and Parsons will probably come back to Earth, Coaching staff is mediocre, later round pick (talent evaluation is great though) and the cap isn’t in great shape. At least the cap can be manipulated. SJ just said they wouldn’t be getting into FA again this year….

Of course we do. We’ll always be a playoff team in our division barring catastrophic injury. Just have to figure out how to play to our max potential. We’re still one of the more talented roster in the nfl. Just lack leadership and tenacity

It's all my fault guys.

On January 28, 1996, the Cowboys' lead over the Steelers in the Super Bowl was down to three points. A young me said out loud "just let the Cowboys win this game and I don't care if they ever win another Super Bowl". Then Larry Brown picked off Neil O'Donnell again, Emmitt scored, and Dallas won.

If any divine football entity was listening, I hereby retract that statement.
