That asshat ref was screwing us all day......the days of a referee being unbiased....is long gone. Wouldn't shock me to find out that clown had money riding on the game.

Fans needs to throw glass bottles next time.

They should have had 3 seconds or so left. That ref “ususally” is running behind the ball following. He was late getting there. Now what the Cowboys could have done is place the ball down immediately and began complaining and MM could have been yelling at the ref standing with him pointing at the clock. Would have had 5 seconds or so on it. Maybe just maybe the refs would have stopped it or gave them a few seconds to run a play. They needed to point it was clearly the refs mistake. Maybe it worked and maybe not but either way they weren’t winning. Unless they had a play where Dak takes off and laterals the ball over or across the field earlier in the run like they tried to a open Cooper that time but Cooper dropped it. But if he catches it then it’s 6.

……..this ref didn’t realize the urgency of the situation….maybe these guys should be administered the Wonderlic test too.
Lol. Someone Tweeted earlier that "they should inform the refs of the play they're attempting."
Lmao, maybe we start admitting there's a problem.

So how long are we going to embarrass ourselves whining about the refs?

We lost that game. Not the officials.
The officiating, all season has been pretty inconsistent throughout the league. This isn't a matter of blaming the refs, but we should be able to talk about it and not have it be called whining for whatever reason.

Because that's what it is, whining. Think of it this way, if we got a gift call to beat the 49ers, would we be spending days and multiple threads analyzing the call? Would fans here be talking about ref bias or favoritism? Of course not.

Some people seem to forget, even if they do everything exactly right, we still are trying to score from the 24 yard line, which has a minute chance of succeeding. Yet people are acting like the ref not marking the ball fast enough cost us the game.

We lost because we played stupidly and coached stupidly. We lost because the other team was better prepared, had a better game plan, played smarter. I think some here go on and on about the officials because it makes them not have to deal with reality - our team sucked on Sunday and has problems.

Yeah, you're not understanding me. The officiating is a problem league-wide. And it's not just that one call. There is no conspiracy against Dallas specifically and I never blamed a loss on the refs. But to brush it off as whining when there are clearly obvious missed/bad calls is just ignorant. It does change the game. It doesn't mean it cost anyone a game, but you can't say it hasn't.

I am understanding you just fine. But there are literally people in this thread doing what you say isn't happening - the refs were biased, etc.

…..additionally, the ball carrier jumps up and runs to hand it directly to the ref….not the center……of course Dak would have had to run the ball back up field 10 yards to hand it to the ,out of position ref ,to duplicate this
Pretty sure he handed it to the center and the ref ran in and touched the ball...

And there are fans who are pointing out what I'm talking about. I said the biased talk isn't happening? It's important that we can discuss the issue, that's my point. Blanket statements seem pompous to me. There's legitimate concern across the league.

I mean I don't like excuses, but the ref also contributed to a delay of game penalty earlier :). He wouldn't get out of the way for us to snap the ball.

Still defending the moron HC, OC and QB. $300 million between them all and not one of them had any common sense to tell the ref they were going to do that to make sure he was ready. U think NE woudn't? if you don't you are a complete fool

You must be posting to someone else.

Argue all you want about whether it was a dumb play call or not, but the referee Sunday unquestionably screwed the Cowboys in that scenario.

I disagree. Besides it being a dumb play call - Dak didnt look for the ref afterwards. And you dont leave it up to the ref at the end of the game. There was 14 secs left. Things happen. You cant blame the ref. The team (offense mostly) played like crap the whole game. I could careless about the ref not getting it set in time

This ref was in front of the play, set the ball, and moved into position still in front of the ball. Why was our ref way behind the play? There had been a timeout and just a short run. I don’t get that.

Considering Dak started his slide at the 27 and the ball was actually spotted at the 24, I'd say we were lucky that the official didn't move it back to where the ball should have been spotted...

Yep, just another evidence in the bucket that they tap it all the time in such scenarios and don’t worry too much about whether it’s an inch away from where the ball actually was when the defender was tackled..
