Just tack on another reason why I want this joker gone. I think you would want to watch it just to see it from a different angle...and remember why you did certain things while it's still fresh in your memory. Just goes to show he doesn't give a rats *** about winning and getting better. He just wants to spend Jerry's money......and deflect blame.

Get rid of this clown before I have no other choice than becoming a bengals fan.......:banghead:

McCarthy should change name to Sgt. Schultz.

"I see nothing, I hear nothing, I know nothing."

That’s his way of pushing accountability away in his presser answers. He’s not going to admit faults or say scheme and players did anything wrong.

This attitude has been trickled down into the players post game pressers too; as we’ve seen them blame refs and call them their other opponents

This is correct. For a “tough guy” from Pittsburgh— McCarthy sure is sensitive when he’s questioned about his failures.

If you can’t even acknowledge your failure— how the hell are you ever supposed to learn from it?!

I'm old enough to remember when this guy said he spent his time away from football watching every play from every NFL game over the course of an entire season.

Well there you have it......still says its the right call. And then admits that he is Coached to hand the ball to the center. THEY DONT EVEN KNOW THE RULES!

CANT MAKE THIS CRAP UP!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a perception thing. Broaddus and others around the team have floated the idea that Mike is lazy (hence why he has not stepped in to take the reins on offense) and stuff like this doesn't help. I've already re-watched the game once and it's not even my job to do so. There's enough time in the day for Mike to start evaluating this game.

Again, it's not uncommon to not immediately view the season ending loss right away. There are other things the HC has to deal with. He has to conduct exit intreviews with all the players, his OC and DC won't be around as they are likely preparing/traveling for interviews.

This is just piling on McCarthy for the sake of piling on. Hey, I want him fired too but the fact he hasn't broken down the game tape on the 49ers loss isn't that big of a deal to me.

The question I have is, did you watch any 49er tape before the game? Also, do you do any self scouting with your own team's tape?

If they do, it's not apparent. This team's tendencies are predictable, to some degree, at a fan level. God knows opponents can break them down in game prep.

The 49ers had an easy week preparing for the Cowboys. Just watch the tape of the Broncos and Cardinals games. Probably spent a good part of that week preparing for GB.

... and later recanted that statement, admitting it was a fabrication.
The part about his saying it, and using it in his interviews is true in order to get the job. But the part about him actually…..you know, doing the work was the lie.

What's the difference between Garrett and McCarthy? About 65 pounds.

Don't blame him.....he's ticked of and it doesn't matter. Take a few days to unwind and see if you still have a job......then get back to work.

I'm still not fully clear on that... I mean I know he *said* that, in front of Jerry no less, but my take on that was that he was joking when he said it

I find it hard to believe he would openly admit something like that in front of his boss and then they both have a laugh about it (which they did, if I recall that press conference)

Might help to understand that Big Mac is completely unfamiliar with any type of questioning of his "greatness" by the press.

In remote GB, there are just a handful of reporters who "cover" the team on a daily basis and given the publicly-owned nature of the team they are loathe to ask any questions that might put the organization or its coaches in a bad light.

Coaching in GB is more like coaching in a college town setting and Big Mac escaped scrutiny for his coaching decisions throughout his tenure there.

Big Mac has been conditioned to believe whatever he says or does will not be second-guessed.

However, even if Dallas reporters are not quite as aggressive as their NY, Boston, or Philly colleagues, there is no escaping the spotlight when you coach the Dallas Cowboys.

Hence, while Big Mac has long had a track record of coaching buffoonery (clock management just being one of the most obvious), he is only now being called to account for it and thus understandably bristles at his newfound status.

Our season is over. What’s the point of that right now?
If you don't learn from your failures you will continue to fail.

He needs to look at that tape/film/video and watch why his QB refused to dump the ball to running backs that had 10 yards of open field in front of them. Watch why his QB threw the ball to a covered Wilson instead of a wide open Amari Cooper who was open much of the game. Instead he was trying to look down field into coverage to find Cede Lamb in coverage that was taking away WRs. He needs to evaluate why his Boy Genius OC could not get his $90M RB the ball more than 13 times. He needs to evaluate the replacement of his no.3, 4 WR, LG, and TE. He needs to evaluate why the defense was not prepared for a running team to run the ball in the 1st half of the game and how a WR had 72 yards rushing and a RB had +90 yds rushing in the game so he can make sure the Cowboys have another defensive minded draft.

Watch the game you lair who said you watched every play in the NFL to get the Cowboys head Coaching job.

Why does he need to watch it right now? No one is going to practice so it’s pointless.

But again, you realize not a lot of coaches watch their last loss right away right? When a season ends, there are other priorities than watching the loss immediately. Players have to have exit meetings, coaches have meetings, the HC likely meets with the GM/owner to discuss things, etc. They likely watch the game at some point but there isn't a ton of value in watching the last loss if it isn't going to also involve meetings with players, coaches like you would during the season.

This is just complaining for the sake of complaining.

Wow, if he hasn't looked at the film yet, odds are we probably won't win this weekend either
