I had a niece that was murdered by a guy that broke into her apartment accidentally looking for pot so that's my reason
He had the wrong address
Yeah man, people living that life don't think straight. May she rest in power.

.... you let the defense punch the line in the mouth 50 times"

Listening to Nate on HWTB podcast and he echoed a lot of what I have been saying about our offense specifically with regard to the pass/run ratio and the blocking schemes. He reiterated that our guys are too good a players to keep looking this bad. Basically stating that the blocking schemes are too passive and gives the defensive front all the advantage even in the run game because we stand up and absorb the hit even on running plays for the most part. I get the theory behind it.. You try to make all the plays look the same so as not to tip things to the defense.. but guess what.. the goal of the defensive line is to stalemate the offensive line and find the ball. If you stand up and don't drive them they can go find the ball without exerting a lot of energy.. and when they see it's a pass they can go hunt your QB. When they see it's run, unless they are complete chumps they are already in position to make the tackle... or the backside guy who just threw your tight end out of the way will.

Even the toughest guy on the block will eventually get knocked out if you let the other guy punch him over and over without letting him punch back. This team needs to get back to punching the defense in the mouth.. Period..

Well if you let some of these dumb idiots here tell it... they'd blame Dak for not blocking better for himself.

All jokes aside, we have got to get younger at left tackle. We need another guard too, ASAP!!

Its like not rushing Micah Parsons. Opposing teams must love it.
yeah I would have rushed parsons on every 3rd down, and any play where I thought they might pass.
not using him to rush the qb helped SF win the game.

We are out of shotgun all the time, because Dak threw exclusively out of it in high school and college, and unlike guys like Mahomes, he hasn’t shown any sustained ability to throw out of a drop-back.

Well I try not to spend much time on the "he makes 40 million a year why does he need blocking" crowd. I do think some changes are needed on the offensive line but frankly I think they would all be a lot better and a lot healthier if we let them do more hitting than being hit. Tyron is far less likely to get hurt if he is driving his man 5 yards downfield than if he's having to chase him around the edge or hunker down against a bull rush..

I get it. But Newton knows more football than 95% of the folks walking around the Cowboys facility.
:lmao2:

are you serious? based on what? where are all the NFL teams lining up to bring Nate Newton on board their coaching staffs?

I am not convinced Nate Newton could pass an IQ test.

I like that take.

I don't like running from shotgun. We do it a lot because we don't pass enough from under center. When Dak is under center it's a run or playaction. If he could start taking 5-7 step drops from under center it would really help the running game. They're too predictable from that look.

Because of the QB…

The Coryell which Linehan, and even Garrett, ran used traditional drop-back passing and timing based patterns as staple. Romo did it all the time here. They had to reconstruct the offense around Dak for 6 years. You can’t honestly say a guy like Linehan, whom Moore is basically the disciple, took out the drop back for this QB, because he wanted too.

Dak’s skill set eliminates a lot of possibilities. The only way one will really see how good Moore can be is when he leaves and gets to coach a real QB.

Really? Would it surprise you to know that Dak's career passer rating from shotgun is 96.9... and from under center it's 106.4.. Weird isn't it.. His completion percentage from shotgun is 65.5.. Under center? 72.7..
We are out of shotgun all the time because that's how the OC wants it.. Dak is all pro good under center.. and just decent from shotgun.. But I know you will never let the facts get in the way of a good story.. So carry on..

If you think an IQ test is something you can pass or fail I am not convinced you are qualified to judge anyone's intelligence.

THIS is why running the ball up the A gap out of S11 personnel simply won't work. These guys are basically pass blocking on those plays. You can see it on film. If you are going to run the ball, it's most effective with your quarterback under center with the back in the I.

This is the thing that really chaps my butt about all of this. It's like NOBODY in Dallas or the organization remembers how this team won 3 superbowls in 4 years. They ran the ball...A LOT...even when they were getting stoned early in the game. 21 personnel and play action off of it.

Their intent seems to be, come hell or high water, they are gonna make Prescott the next Aaron Rodgers. It's a bit of lunacy laced with delusions of grandeur.
