I hate both teams as much as the Eagles...
I have deep hate towards the Niners growing up, until now it has been mild.
BUT the Packers hate burns deeper as of late.
2014 they get a W on a bad Dez caught it call.
2016 No HOLDING on that "ArOdg spectacular throw" + all the bad PI calls on us....

So yes I hope the Niners Dline embarrasses Goldeylocks.

"That's just the respect we have for them."

There is the hidden sentence that this statement implies......"as opposed to the Cowboys for whom we don't respect"

Ouch! But what can you do? They get to talk this trash because they were right.

I'm not sure that's true since it wasn't an either or scenario. They weren't going to play the Cowboys either way. Had the Cowboys won and they said they were prepping for the Rams, that would be an insult to Arizona.

Shanahan was hired initially as assistant coach for offensive quality control under head coach Jon Gruden with the Buccaneers.
In 2006, Shanahan was hired by Gary Kubiak to serve as WRs coach for the Houston Texans.
At the time, Kyle Shanahan was the youngest position coach in the NFL.
In 2010, Shanahan left the Texans to join his father, Mike Shanahan, with the Skins.
On January 18, 2015, the Falcons hired Shanahan as their new offensive coordinator.
On February 6, 2017, one day after the Super Bowl, Shanahan was officially hired as the next head coach of the 49ers.

Not sure what Kyle Shanahan’s coaching bio is supposed to prove here, but Mike Shanahan never coached under Bill Walsh, and is in no way a part of his tree.

Practically everyone but the homers on this board expected us to lose.

Not really. Many so called experts had us winning. Cynthia Frelund and her analytics had us winning a close one. And Lafleur is giving Coach speak. They prepped for the Cowboys as well you can bet.

I'd guess they prepped a bit for both team. Maybe not though...

not the smart way to look at it lol.
If SF beats GB, that makes cowboys not look so stupid.
If SF wins again and goes to SB, same thing, got beat by SB team

If GB blows SF out, then dallas looks even worse.
If that happens, then everyone will know dallas was even worse that previously thought.

So you should root for SF in this case.

In a lot of situations I would be right there with you. However, in this case, I can't be mad at SF. They simply took the gift we wrapped up so nicely & handed to them.

I'm not going to be heartbroken regardless who wins but I fully expect the legit QB to make it difficult for SF to get a win.

Yep, the old Lambeau Mystique. Nothing to see unless it's the other team. That 2016 game still angers me way worse than the no catch game.

And we had Sean Payton...but instead gave a couple decades to Jason Garrett soooooo
we had Sean Payton, at the same time as Parcells. Parcells was in his 3rd year of coaching when Payton left for NO....are you suggesting at that time we should have fired Parcells to keep payton? did you know at the time Payton was going to be so good? come on people

Kubiak came from Bill Walsh coaching tree, who coached under George Siefert.

I think when you get 2 or 3 connections apart and with their history, then they can be from almost anyone's coaching tree

People can debate that 2014 crap I guess, but 2016 was an obvious hold, with the ref looking directly at Irving getting clotheslined.

Kubiak is from Mike Shanahan's coaching tree - you think he ended up on Seifert's staff independent of Mike Shanahan? Kubiak played for the Broncos, and was coached on offense by Shanahan. He was on the 49ers staff for one year (as the QB coach under Shanahan as the OC), then followed Shanahan to the Broncos in 1995.

like I said, this coaching tree stuff is almost meaningless, unless you talk about coordinators at the time that they became head coach. does it mean Shanahan is from Quinn coaching tree? one could make that argument.

How can you blame them, only die hard Cowboy fans had us winning that game.

We have posters here who think Zeke is still a stud RB, yep, delusional.
No, I wouldn't say die hard fans. It's the homers that thought we'd win. There are a lot of die hard fans here who knew this game was going to go either way and that the 9ers were not a good matchup for us.
