No one had Matt Stafford ahead of Dak when he was in Detroit. Let’s see what everyone thinks of Stafford if he throws two or three picks in the playoffs and the Rams get booted. He led the league in INTs. He has a loaded team and an energetic head coach that’s a hell of a lot more inspiring than the bucket head we have.

How far are you willing to move the goalposts?
They're heavy.

They're too heavy. But then I wouldn't demand $40M to it when I dang well know it's beyond my capabilities.

Dak was effective when he had wheels. He no longer has wheels. Just a $40M inaccurate arm and a brain that is easily confused by zone defenses.

Yo Kj...I did

Why because of his garbage numbers? He only led Detroit to the playoffs three times and was 0-3. Romo had a playoff win over him. Besides you’re a fan you don’t count. Too much Dak hate here. Same here have more than half the QBs in the league ranked ahead of Dak.

This is why I try to stay away from these hypothetical situations and stick to actual events.

Our situation is difficult and complex enough to cypher thru without throwing unsubstantiated hypotheticals into the mix.

Honestly I’m not sure Dak would have as much value to another team as with Jethro. But again , who knows, we haven’t had to find out.

I’d have to know the contract he received and what our actions were preceding and following addressing our next QB prospect to draw some conclusions.

He definitely should have let Dak test the market, imo. It would've either lowered his price or made him someone else's problem at that price.

Good exercise... so everyone can now agree that dak is at least behind 12 others.. possibly 15.

And he gets paid top 2 money.

It's a problem. Take the hit now and get rid of him.

I think everyone’s confidence in Dak has wavered some but where he’s ranked in some of these QB rankings is ridiculous.

And that is the definition of AVERAGE

UPS AND DOWNS UPS AND DOWNS... AVERAGE
average would be 14-16 range...I said he was top 10 early in the season and last year....he was good in 2019 and improving, arrow pointing up.

second half of the season he was bad....

Ranking QBs in numerical order is dumb because there's no way to account for their current team situation. Their team affects both their stats and achievements...

You either have 1 of 3 QBs..

-A QB that can deliver a SB despite adversity (team injuries and other adversity)

-A JAG QB that's just keeping the seat warm till you find a QB that can elevate you over the hump

- or a QB that's young and has potential to develop

There's no rankings, there's those 3 tiers.

The Vikings are about to get rid of Cousins and probably the Raiders will get rid of Carr too..they know that those QBs are "good enough" but they Can't take you over the hump.

Dak is in their tier. We will find out soon enough.

He doesn’t have an issue reading defenses. It’s just a sad excuse
Don't believe it! Go watch the Kurt Warner video breakdown of the offense. He doesn't know where he is supposed to go with the ball in elementary situations. It's not all Dak but it's a lot of him.

Exactly, an offense being run by a competent QB that is reading the defenses and seeing the field does not operate like what you are seeing in these games.
