To be blunt I am surprised he made it to 74. But he was certainly talented; he did a movie once that was actually pretty decent and rather funny.

RIP


One bad thing about growing older is watching your icons, stars, and so on pass away.


Being the last man standing is NOT a good thing.

I imagine he was surprised as well. He's openly admitted to a very unhealthy lifestyle and has had at least one massive heart attack. But, many have testified that he was a genuinely good guy and had many friends. His partnership with Jim Steinman produced some pretty amazing music over many many years. Thanks for the good memories sir.

One of my wife's friends in Dallas grew up with him and said he was truly one of the kindest and nicest people she knew.

I always liked him because he balanced out that pretty boy rocker look. As a singer, he matched an unusual voice and style with some great lyrics.

I have a Weber grill and am on their email list and they send out some nice recipes and the one that arrived in my inbox this morning was for? Yes, meat loaf on the grill. I just received a follow up email with them apologizing for the timing of this and this goes to show just how far people have to go because I didn't think anything about it. I am assuming they heard from people which precipitated this move.

I really don't think the artist Meatloaf would have been offended and might have even enjoyed the irony of it. One of the stories about his nickname was his affinity for his Mom's meat loaf was so strong that earned him the moniker.

There's this unofficial report:
Sources with knowledge tell TMZ ... he was supposed to attend a business dinner earlier this week for a show he's working on -- "I'd Do Anything for Love" -- but the dinner was canceled because he became seriously ill with COVID. Sources tell us that his condition quickly became critical.
