How many of them have called out Jerry directly? Because otherwise, they are wasting their time and are only sugar coating the real problem.

The best salesmen are the easiest to sell something to sometimes.

Jerry definitely got sold by MM. He deserves the misery as it wasn't anything close to an exhaustive search.

Anyone who stands in front of a podium and constantly reminds that he knows what he is doing has NO clue what they are doing.

Maybe he isnt a problem per se, but he isnt the solution either and we are spinning our wheels with him....

But he will stay because Jerry decided to give him a five year deal and he isnt going to eat that.

 on blaming our troubles on Dak, the OL, McCarthy, etc. Pitiful as some of them are, none of them have been here for 26 years, or even half of that time.

Until we get someone else running this thing, it's not going to matter. New franchise QB, new stud OT, elite pass rushing DE, won't matter. We can draft Micah Parsons-caliber rookies for the next 5 years, won't matter. They're just band-aids trying to cover up the symptoms of the plague that the Jones family is on this franchise. They're poison. And until we can watch the NFL draft and the Cowboys' war room doesn't look like a Jones' family reunion, nothing else matters.
This. If you can accept the Jones at top this year will be as good as it gets. I’ve accepted this grudgingly & wAtch games (ocassionally) as a diversion. Never expect wins. It’s entertainment. It doesn’t define me.

And I’m sure there are more locally. Have all called out the cowboys coaching staff the past week. I’m so happy about it. Cause at the very least it’s making JJ look like a fool. If that’s not enough for JJ then I don’t know what is
I haven’t seen Pearson, Troy or Irvin call out Jerry. They’ve called out cosches and players but they won’t touch Jerry.

Babe called out Dak and the scheme for missing 3 straight 1 on 1’s to CeeDee

Most modern day players only play for money no fame, Irvin’s attempts to appeal to their pride won’t work because many of them don’t have pride in the game or care how they are viewed

sure Irvin and Emmitt enjoyed their paydays but they were instilled with work pride and cared about their reputation from their fans and their peers

todays athlete can underperform their contracts and sleep like a baby. There’s no shame in “gettin over” or just slacking and “takin mines”…….the coaches know their dealing with men who have the mentality of 16 year olds so they have to put up with them……the sooner the fans know how much some players care, the less disappointed they will be.
Don't think that's the biggest problem, because other teams are able to get players to play hard after getting paid. Our issues are systemic and begin with the culture here that props up mediocre players as stars and pays them like it.

Well my original point is I for the life of me can’t remember this many former players coming out against the team after a bad loss. I mean I’m sure it’s happened but definitely not to this extent.
Great post and all true it gets harder and harder to stomach every year.

The great players that made this team the most enviable franchise in football are finally at the end of their rope with this nonsense.
The strain has become more than they can bear and they feel the need to speak out
I think a lot of these guys are upset we’ve turned into basically a punchline. Just when you didn’t think it could get worse. It has every year. Those guys had a part in making the franchise what it is today. I’m glad they are speaking about it

The Emperor has his pie hole plastered all over the media whining about yet another failed campaign by his clown car army.

It's pathetic.

It's no wonder some of the core from the early 90s teams are popping off. Imagine having your face and rep stamped all over this abomination and getting relentlessly trolled for it. It's embarrassing. And I'm sure it's hitting their bottom line on many different levels.

But whatever. Just another day in the magical thinking kingdom.

All those scalawags have bones to pick with Jerry!
Jimmy is legit and rich enough he does not make it personal with Jerry because Jimmy has ... better things to which to attend.

But...
Irvin needs to lay off the flap.
Aikman (Blimey!) is sooooooo Grumpy! Stay off Me Laaaawn!
Drew Pearson has had strained relations with the Joneses because ... the Joneses don't care cow's sod over Pearson.
Hailey is certifiable and was last seen relieving himself on parked cars while scowling and muttering
" **** *ψ*** ** *֎ **** ****** ** * ******* **** **s "

I say unto the x-valiant players: Keep it on football and not cloud your criticisms with grudges, personal slights and Jerry's lack of fawning over these football has-beens. Have some tea. Drink from the furry cup of friendship.

Still ...

I am reporting you!

Sewing skepticism and sneaking suspicion and solidifying it into a flannel football of futile frustration re Jerry's failure!. Tell it to Forbes.
Too, Doubtful Doug, not too many teams like Jerry's can, year after year bring a team up to consistent adequacy.

I am telling me *mum on you!

Mister, for your infomercial, the HC whose name I canna even say much less spell, was prepared for the 40 Whiners, and he knows how to win with a gifted QB! And Jerry says he loves him!
Yes, me rhetorical ways are like me cutlass, swift and smaht like Fredo. So be wary with the figurative blade, good mate, because I get the tremors at times but tha is another story...

Farewell, then.

*In me prayers, she has passed on.
th

Can someone translate for me, please? ;)

It starts at the top. If Jerry does what is comfortable for him over the decades, which is to make minor firings/admonishments, nothing changes.
But, if he's finally had enough and is serious (really serious) and starts bringing down the thunder for once, it could possibly have a ripple effect.
Not as effective as hiring a real GM, but the status quo has gotten this franchise nowhere.

Its interesting how many X cowboys players are still in the playoffs. Maybe going to other teams with better QB's made the difference. Beasely, Hitchens, Awuzie are all playing this weekend. Their QB's are pretty special.

Until they put a better product on the field, I will address them as the DFT (Dallas Football Team).

Love it. Irvin blamed the core players for playing like trash. Most of them were hard on the offense.

He is right. Coming out flat for a playoff game is inexcusable and that is not the coaches fault. The blame lies with the players who didn't seem hungry enough for a playoff game.

If it’s not fixed then Parsons will be ruined. I remember D-Law telling the rookies in TC that JG wasn’t in charge. These players know JJ runs the show and if he likes you then he won’t be hard on you. He gets this great talent and let them lead themselves or come talk to daddy JJ if the HC tries to tell them what to do.. Jimmy Johnson would sit players for to many penalties. Unless it was Aikman, he admitted he would let him slide. But Aikman would get on his O-Line if they were screwing up..

It was time to be on. After that winning streak players took games off. Especially this good line we had. Like they didn’t want to block for Dak..

Should have been. The offense was supposed to be our strength and it turned into our weakness.
