Yes another Dak thread. Whether you're a fan of Prescott as our QB or not, he is not going anywhere until his contract ends in 2024. So I got a question, if Dak comes to the end of his contract and we have not at least gotten to the Championship game during that timeframe, would you extend him? He would be 31 entering that season, not too old in today's NFL but he would have lost some of his mobility by that time, it's gonna be an interesting decision when that time comes.

The Jones family will give him an extension before the start of 2024 IMO.

The wise move would be to draft a QB in round 1 in 2023 in order to have some leverage in negotiating but...we know that won't occur. Prescott will see another major payday in 2023 or right before the 2024 season starts.

Just my two pennies.

If we have not gotten to a championship game by that time, that would be a huge mistake, but it sounds like Jerry

Absolutely right....but he won't do it without a hard look in the mirror first.

Dak could have been cool and think just a little bit about his team, by not doing that.....dump him! The guy is single, 40 mill, really really???

Honest answer from a Dak fan: the next three years will determine everything.

But he would have to absolutely crater for them to move on. A few more seasons with a 37-10 TD-pick ratio will make it hard to justify dumping him. Dallas also better make darn sure they have a succession plan in place because no matter how you feel about Prescott, who is factually available right now that is better???
