I guess Cowboys loss isn’t so bad now?

Not disrespecting them but they were lucky in both games. We dominated them in the second half but could not deliver, tonight they sucked almost all game until that blocked punt which was shocking for the Packers,
You call it suking or choking by one team instead of giving credit to the other team. I’d call that disrespect.

We're a soft team. Everybody knows it. Everytime I go on someone else's forums, they all say we're a soft team, so it's no secret or anything. Soft teams don't usually win. We need hard hitters and physically intimidating guys on defense. We don't have many.

The strength of our team is the passing game, but history shows that a great defense always comes out on top over a heavy passing team. When Seahawks made the transition into a passing first team in 2015, they haven't gone to an NFC Championship game since, so that indicates that passing oriented teams usually play finesse ball which is what Dallas is.

And as you say, 49ers were in the Super Bowl 2 years ago so a lot of the same players and coaches that got them there are still there. They were down last year, but it was an injury plagued team and once they got healthy they reverted back to a top NFC team. I don't think they're as good as they were in 2019, but I think they legitimately have a chance to win the Super Bowl. They're 4-1 this year against the Rams, Cowboys, and Packers..... 3 of the top 4 teams in the NFC. They only team left they haven't proven they can beat yet is Tampa Bay, but that's only because they haven't played them yet

Because, according to the homers we had the best offense in the league and a top ten defense? And everytime you told them to see through those paper tiger wins vs Washington or the Eagles they just answered "12-5" or something in the likes? I mean the loss vs the Niners just showed one last time that this team was fraud through and through.

I couldn't see it in the first seven games also and even the loss vs Denver was mighty fine at the time since it was just the one pothole in our road to victory. The one reminder a great team needs of not losing focus . But ever since that Raiders game it was obvious what was going on. I guess the win vs a very bad Atlanta kept our hopes up for too long.
But we didn’t have a top 10 defense. It was ranked in bottom half . It was top in turnovers .

We were 6-0 against our division. 6-6 outside . Beat only one team with 10 wins or more and only 2 playoff teams. Both of which were blown out in playoffs.

The records would support we were 6th best team in conference and only because we won arguably one of worst divisions were a higher seed.

No, I am saying what happened in both games. At the end of the day, They were able to pull through out of what could have got them eliminated and they deserve credit for this.

In the end: Talent wins you Regular Season Games and Culture wins you Playoff games. Thanks Jerrah!
Passing offenses are historically stifled by great defenses in the playoffs. We have seen enough evidence of this during regular season.

49ers passing offense is almost lethargic. But they run the ball well and play great defense rushing the passer . It’s how you beat good teams in this league.

Uhm, yeah, that's what I said. We were a crappy team (by "reach NFCCG" aspirations standards) but our division made us look better than we were.

No they did not lose to the better team. Dallas is better than 49ers. Given the weapons we had, we still should have beaten the 49ers no matter what. Garappolo eas nothing more than an average QB tonight but they still could advance thanks to their offensive line and creative running game.

We got to understand that. Our offensive line and running are the problem and this team goes nowhere as long as they are not solved.

Nate had a good observation on the offensive line. Says we play them passively, so that they're absorbing punishment instead of delivering it. Don't know if that falls on Moore of Philbin, but it's consistent with Moore's "yards are yards" philosophy, which doesn't see the advantage of grinding down the other team with the run game.

Why must our coaches believe obviously stupid things?

Of course it’s not all on Dak. He had plenty of help suking it up. None of our stars showed up.

hmmmm. respectfully following your logic then the Divisional loss vs Giants in 2007 is even more excusable since the Giants ended up winning the SB that season.

And regarding Daks excuse, a lot of fans are still upset with the 2007 loss and blaming Romo for "Cabo" and an interception ... and they turn a blind eye to the fact that it was 4&11 on the 23 yrd of the Giants with 12 seconds left on the game losing by 4 points on the score and no time outs ! also selectively don't remember that just a play before Pat Crayton stopped his route on 3&11 on what would've been a TD had he not stopped, but for 2007 there is no "its not ALL on Romo" or "Of course its not all on Romo"

This is not a Dak vs Romo response, what I try to show is that we have seen that movie before, yet we are inconsistent with the way we see those games (2007 and 2022) and honestly the fact that the Giants won the SB that year didn't make the loss less painful for me.

IMHO neither success (Giants / 49s) justify the losses of 2007 or 2022

I think that’s a reasonable argument regarding 2007.

And I never blamed Romo for that game either.

Yeah after watching the games tonight we saw again and again that the QBs might have a bad day but good teams can make up for it. But still the QB needs to deliver when it matters. I couldn’t count how many times Burrow got sacked but he delivered at the end of the game, which Dak did not.

Tannehill threw that game away. Literarily.

Its still bad. We're a more talented team in way better weather conditions. 14 penalties in the playoffs is just not acceptable.

No, the 49ers' defense played poorly on the first GB drive but then tightened up and played solid for the rest of the game.

Looks like the NFL will get their Jimmy G Tom Brady NFC title game. They're loving this. Personally I hope the Rams beat the 9ers to go to the super bowl to lose to the Bills.

The great Rodgers still has 1 more SB than Dak, in 2X the time in the league! Eli has more than Rodgers!

Maybe , but I think we can clearly say not as bad. Do you think we would have gone up to Green Bay and win?
As a Cowboys fan you should know how well this team plays when they are the UNDER DOG and not expected to win.. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the Cowboys had gone to Lambeau and won. There is a lot to be said for PLAYING WITH HOUSE MONEY, there is NO PRESSURE when you're not expected to win [see the 49ers].

Today's games showed me what I was saying the last month of the season. We could beat anyone anywhere if we played our game. The problem with last week was we played our worst game and the 9ers played a good game. Tonight the Packers didn't play their best game and got beat. So give credit to the 9ers cuz they're the common dominator of 2 teams not playing well. The Cowboys and the Packers played a bad game against the niners but the niners causes us to play and bad game against them. So I feel it's a combination of we beat ourselves and the niners took advantage and played in a way that caused us to beat ourselves. Give the 9ers their due. They're for real, but make no mistake we will look at this season like 2007, a wasted opportunity. We should be in the title game cuz we're better than the 9ers but choked and got outclassed by scheme, physically and emotionally. We wasted this opportunity and that pisses me off.
