I guess Cowboys loss isn’t so bad now?

Now that we apparently lost to a better team in playoffs.

Packers loss today should secure McCarthys job and shed some light on our season this year.

Turns out we were probably closer to 6th best team in NFC and over achieved with 3 seed. Good job!

We knew we overachieved with a 1 dimensional offense and an opportunistic defense that can be had by good offenses.

Yeah after watching the games tonight we saw again and again that the QBs might have a bad day but good teams can make up for it. But still the QB needs to deliver when it matters. I couldn’t count how many times Burrow got sacked but he delivered at the end of the game, which Dak did not.
Burrow didn’t deliver, Tannehill’s 3 terrible picks is what blew that game. Again, it’s not solely on him but that last pick was just a terrible judgment call considering the circumstances. Give Dak 8 sacks and we curb stomp every team in this league.

What SF did in Green Bay doesn't take the stank off last week.

I don’t care if they win the SB. We didn’t even show up.

Actually, I think it's the opposite, If MM had the team ready to play this team might have gone farther. I look at it as JJ fired JG and replaced him with a coach with more problems. I do believe this team advances with a better HC, just my 2 cents.

But we didn’t have a top 10 defense. It was ranked in bottom half . It was top in turnovers .

We were 6-0 against our division. 6-6 outside . Beat only one team with 10 wins or more and only 2 playoff teams. Both of which were blown out in playoffs.

The records would support we were 6th best team in conference and only because we won arguably one of worst divisions were a higher seed.

It was a tough pill to swallow. There were a couple reasons Dallas seemed better than that though. Almost every NFC division was just as bad and we were really good at not just beating weaker teams, but lighting them up.

There a difference between winning a game you're supposed to, and dominating. I felt like beating the ever loving crap out of a skins team who had one four straight might carry some weight. It didn't.

Passing offenses are historically stifled by great defenses in the playoffs. We have seen enough evidence of this during regular season.

49ers passing offense is almost lethargic. But they run the ball well and play great defense rushing the passer . It’s how you beat good teams in this league.

Come on Diehard. You are not a homer like some of these people and a person whose opinion I respect. The cowboys didn't show up to play that day. It was one of those games where in the first two minutes of the game you knew that they were going to come out flat and not do anything. It was one of those games they could've won if they had the hunger to win. We lost because this team doesn't have the right culture to be disciplined enough in the playoffs. You know if we would've faced the Cardinals in the playoffs instead of the 49ers we probably would've lost as well. Don't make some of the homers think that if it wasn't for facing the 49ers we would've somehow ended up going to the NFC Championship.

Then you haven’t read all of my post and threads throughout this . I have maintained we aren’t as good a team while also stating our stars didn’t show up. It can be both .

I said we were probably more of a 6th seed than a 3rd seed because of division we were in. And fans shouldn’t have bought into the hype.

You also missed my intent of sarcasm as cynicism for this thread. And you’re right I am a fan more in the middle as I often call out both extremes . Nothings changed .

Meanwhile, in the AFC the Bengals—that’s right, the Bengals—are in the AFC championship game. Jacksonville was there not long ago with Blake Bortles.

At least your honest . And I agree to an extent . Beating up on bad teams can be impressive . and even playing great teams tough can be impressive .

But there’s been a fairly constant throughout. And that’s our offense often struggles against better defenses.

I’m on record stating early on not to buy into the hype after 6-1 start saying our schedule looked more like a 12-5 finish. It reminded me of the hype after our 3-0 start a couple years ago.

I said we had some key games remaining with playoff caliber that could better define our season. And I argued following those games there’s a reason we didn’t care as well. But this hype persisted on many fronts .

If we had a HC that could just lead us with more discipline it might have made a difference . 14 penalties and leading league as well is an appalling stat. It’s often a drive killer and in this case arguably a game killer. But unfortunately I’ve argued for most of this era our culture issue stems from above throughout whoever our HC was.

I know your stand. I said I respect you. But you know as well as I do that the problem in Dallas is not the Talent. It's not good to make some delusional fans think that San Francisco winning yesterday is somehow good for us. I too am for keeping Dak next season because he's a good quarterback and you don't replace those unless you have someone better. But we have people on this board celebrating like it is some kind of victory for us that the 49ers beat Green Bay and starting to believe that it means Dak > Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers is the greatestedly overrated QB ever.

Seriously.

No. The loss has nothing to do with anything other than we are a Jerry Jones led team and we will always lose.

Maybe we showed up and we just weren’t good or disciplined enough. I think it was probably part our fault and credit to hem for making us look bad.

Ghere was ample arguments leading up that this wasn’t a good matchup for us . And I’d argue it played out much to how analysis’ projected for those that listened.

49ers have a good/great defense, a great rushing attack and a bus driver QB. That formula has won Super Bowls before and it might do so again this year. I still don't think they could beat any of the remaining AFC teams or the Buccaneers.

As always I’m brutally honest . And I pride myself on trying to understand our dysfunctional ownership and looking inside into what makes him tick.

And why I’ve provided this sarcastic cynical view. I think it provides him more of an out with 49ers surprisingly upset over Packers. I’m not saying it totally forgives our performance and how season ended but it at least provides some explanation. And I think soothes the bitter pill we’ve been trying to swallow. And it supports my view in that we simply weren’t as good as seeded.

You call it suking or choking by one team instead of giving credit to the other team. I’d call that disrespect.

SF did well against the Cowboys. They crushed them. That doesn't mean that Dallas didn't choke on almost every level. I didn't watch the SF-GB game. But I assume it was the same. One side came ready to kick butt and the other choked.
