Yea having one will help your chances year in and year out. However, look Jimmy G and the 49ers. Decent QB but not great, has a solid team around him and a very good coach. Cowboys have everything they have except the coach part. Dak May never be a top 3 or even 5 QB but he is good enough as Jimmy G is playing in his second NFC championship game with a chance for a second super bowl appearance.
Go get a coach Jerrah, who wants adjustments done within the season instead of waiting in the off season.

The 9ers front 7 on defense have taken over games. They really haven’t been impressive offensively. Bucs or Rams will be a tough matchup for them but you can’t count them out.

You can bet they’re rooting for the Rams tho. That would be a 9ers home game.

QBs don't win games by themselves, despite stupid stats like QB won/loss record, but having a great one certainly helps.

You still need competent coaching and you can't be bad at special teams or defense. Special teams sent GB home last night.

Its easier for delusional cowboy fans to convince themselves that they are just a QB away. Thats why this team hasnt won anything on 25 years. The underlying problems will remain

Dak Prescott was three years old the last time the Cowboys won a title, yet some fans think moving on from him will fix everything. This team's problems started long before Dak and unless things change, they will waste his career like Romo before him.

SF has an elite front seven. This team does not. This team is also short at the front office, coaching department, and running game. Large differences between the clubs.

it is not true about qbs and their impact and value but if it was then it make dak's contract 100x worse

Any decent QB you are going to pay all the money. In a few years Dak’s contract won’t be that bad compared to what they market is. Jimmy G at the time for a huge contract without any success. WB play is important and you need a good enough QB which Dak is. I’m just not buying that you need a top 5 QB to get there.

49ers are not head and shoulders talent wise above Dallas. Dallas played horrible and yet had a chance to win the game. A better coaching staff and Dallas wins that game. Good coaching staffs don’t have teams commit 14 penalties or not be able to adjust to what the defense is throwing at them.

So what you're implying is that Jerry is the problem correct? I personally believe Jerry tries very hard to get good coaches, players, but the problem is that he sits in on coaches meetings and micro manages everything. The organization seems to victims of their own projected image.. What I mean by that, is that they always seem to play the role as the circus clowns. I think the play where Randy Gregory jumped off-sides and cost us in a major situation of the game against the niners was a prime example of what clowns some of our players are and have become. The look on Randy's face as he smirked and shook his head made me sick. He was basically taking zero accountability as his actions showed his questionable character in my opinion..

Without Nick Bosa on that club, SF does not win enough games this season to get in the playoffs. They got him at the number 2 overall pick after Jimmy G. got injured a few years ago and SF tanked the rest of the season. They built an extremely good defense (partly by tanking when needed, and also a good OL and running game with tight end usage. The coaching is not likely getting better at this club without upgrading the front office. The team is also about to show you what attrition can do to influence a following year. Plus some contracts are going to start becoming even more of a burden this offseason.

And we were salivating for CBS

Defaulted to Parsons and improved 20 spots on defense
