Now that we apparently lost to a better team in playoffs.

Packers loss today should secure McCarthys job and shed some light on our season this year.

Turns out we were probably closer to 6th best team in NFC and over achieved with 3 seed. Good job!
no it still sucks that the cowboys lost last week it does not make it feel any better that green bay lost to the niners also.

The Packers did that to themselves. They know what the weather is like this time of year and should have planned accordingly. They choked. Rodgers choked. Period. SF didn't.

I agree to a certain extent, but I think cold weather, and snow, brings out the age in older QBs. Rodgers needs to make a move to a warm weather or dome team like Brady did. It will add several years to his career.

It might not feel better but it could influence decisions our dysfunctional ownership makes and the message.

i am trying not to be so negative but i really doubt that. jerry jones is the number one problem with team and one of the main reasons why this team can never get over the playoff disappointments.

Yep

When we lost that about in the middle of the season is when our offense begun struggling.

I’d argue we lost our identity which has been built on our great OL and running game which not only makes our QB and offense more effective and tough to stop but it mask our weaknesses on defense.

And why revamping our OL and bringing in more RB support should be our top priority along with toughening up middle of our defense.

How could it not make you feel at least a little bit better?

Because to some they needed Rodgers to blow up the 9r's for thier Dak thing...Again who cares Dak and all the other "Star" Players on our team lost to them and Really shouldn't have if our "Stud" filled roster was a Stud filled roster.....Die hard is just pointing out the truth and some need the other players to be studs so thier "Dak is the only problem" thing works...in a nut shell

I dont troll... ever. Im also not making any point about JG. I dont care who our coach is, I have no loyalty to any of them. Im just making the point that Mike aint no different than any other.
.

You also don't comprehend replies too well... If you did, you would notice he didn't say you troll....he was telling you not to pay attention to Captain Crash's posts/replies.

He doesn’t have to be the number one problem to still be an obstacle, hindrance and handicap .

He often sets the tone and culture with decision making process on not only the drafting but personnel moves along with coaching and the hype surrounding the team.

It’s difficult to escape the face of our franchise as GM and constant throughout multiple HC’s , staffs and rosters this era .

And we just don’t know how much influence he has on game day preparation and schemes although we do know he sees them and has some input.

To me it is worse because we see how beatable Green Bay was, although knowing our luck they would have had their best game all year.

It sure wont but how its handled can change....imagine an owner hiring a GM who is fully on the hook for what happens with the Franchise...that GM hires a coach who is fully responsible for what happens on the field. That coach lays out plans to Coordinators who are fully on the hook for them..those Coordinators then get lineups and plays set and those players are fully on the hook for the execution....crazy stuff.

"Overachieved" as in it's a good thing we're in the NFC East. I didn't bet on the Niners to beat Dallas by accident - I already knew they were better.

Dallas would've been the 4th best team in the West, so I'm not sure how last night's result suddenly makes the Cowboys and McCarthy better than they were 24 hours ago.

are you kidding? We have been hitting jackpots in the drafts... our talent is not the issue, our QB is. That GM hired the SB winning coach so many of you were clamoring for, and he struck out..... and he struck out because Dak Prescott was the hitter he sends to the plate. The D coordinator said GM hired is the amazing Dann Quinn.... cant do much better than that, right?

Lol sure if you say so...Jerry is the model GM. Your need to blame the QB is strong so roll with it, see where it gets you when the next one is here with the same results..like the last one..Again I'm ready to turn these core players over and get to the good ones that can win...its been 25 years of bad QB's i guess thats it lets roll with that.

it was Jerry that was throwing balls 5 yards over receivers heads, to the wrong side of a WR that resulted in that Niner interception that led directly to a TD. But you stick with your, GM is to blame routine.

True- the loss does look better.. According to some on this board Arod is one of those "ELITE" Qb's that puts teams on his shoulders...
He is everything Dak isn't... Sure it was one game, but if it proves anything that is factual, it proves that the niners are just a VERY good team
at this moment in time and they beat us as they should of... So yes, the truth was always in front of us, we struggled against well coached/good teams,
that is what played out in the playoffs.. We just aren't there yet as a TEAM.. Yes, I said team...
