The 49ers didn't have any 'Fat Guys' vs the Packers.

Bosa (2 Pro Bowls) the only starter with a Pro Bowl selection.

None of the starters have made All Pro at any point in their career (per wiki).

The 49ers DL for the Packers game:
POS ….... %Snaps …...... HT …......... WT …............ Player
DE …......... 84% …......... 6'4 …......... 266 …......... Nick Bosa
DT …......... 75% …......... 6'7 …......... 290 …......... Arik Armstead
DT …......... 54% …......... 6'0 …......... 305 …......... D.J. Jones
DE …......... 52% …......... 6'3 …......... 245 …......... Samson Ebukam

DL …......... 32% …......... 6'4 …......... 270 …......... Jordan Willis
DL …......... 32% …......... 6'1 …......... 285 …......... Kevin Givens
DL …......... 30% …......... 6'5 …......... 240 …......... Arden Key
DL …......... 21% …......... 6'2 …......... 287 …......... Kentavius Street
DL …......... 20% …......... 6'5 …......... 280 …......... Charles Omenihu

Is either Armstead or Jones better than Gallimore?

Armstead looks like a sane version of David Irving.

Is their #2 DE (Samson Ebukam) better than Gregory?

Yes, Bosa > DLaw

You’re just getting a lot of prisoner of the moment opinions.

Our Dline is good and a strength of this team.

it’s good in places

Gregory made a lot of bone head plays, but the odds of us getting someone better given our cap situation and where we pick in the draft is unlikely. He’s a good player end of story

Lawrence is over paid but unless we’re moving Parsons to DE then we aren’t getting a better player in 2021. Not saying we definitely needs to bring him back, but when healthy he’s a good player

DT we absolutely can upgrade. Osi has some upside, but he’s a jag at this point. Same for Neville. And the depth here is far more thin than at DE

Am I the only one that thinks Gallimore is a really good prospect?

You guys do know the Packers Offensive line has been decimated with injuries right?

Even with Bosa and Warner out of the lineup we couldn’t move the ball.

Dallas paid their QB, RB, and WR. We lost because our stars didn’t step up in a big game. Like Michael Irvin said this week.

What would you say this strength of the team did to win that playoff game?

just can't stop the run

Build a lead with the offense and the defense will do what it’s built to do.

The 9ers are the only team that care to run the ball. That’s why I discussed it being a bad matchup for us a week before we played them while a lot on here loved that we had the 3 seed and weren’t playing AZ.

If you build a defense to stop the run 90% of NFL teams willjust throw all over you.

When DLaw kicks inside and Parsons , Gregory play end we are as good as any team. Can Gallimore take the next step?

Our Dline is good and a strength of this team.

The Cowboys were 23rd in yards per rush attempt allowed, the Niners were 6th.

The Niners were also 3rd in sack percentage while the Cowboys were 16th.

That's two indicators of line strength, and let's remember the Niners play in a much tougher division.

Raiders. Denver and Cards all ran the ball well and beat the Cowboys at home during the season, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it...

No comparison. Numbers can make gazelles look better than Lions. Give me the Lions not the numbers.

Shannon Sharp called them the best D line in football with D. Law back and he hates the Cowboys.

Fans just want to take 1 game and blow it up as this big narrative.

The fact is our D line was a strength this year and they did it without D. Law and Gallimore for most of the year.

Gregorys game against the Vikings is one of the best games I’ve seen a defensive lineman play in a long time for us.

Where our defense got hurt was when we reduced Parsons off the edge. That really limited the type of impact he had on defense when he was at linebacker and cost him defensive player of the year imo.

I understand Parsons playing linebacker against the 9ers being the right matchup but he’s just not the same player when he isn’t chasing QBs.
