The fact is our D line was a strength this year and they did it without D. Law and Gallimore for most of the year.

Gregorys game against the Vikings is one of the best games I’ve seen a defensive lineman play in a long time for us.

Where our defense got hurt was when we reduced Parsons off the edge. That really limited the type of impact he had on defense when he was at linebacker and cost him defensive player of the year imo.

Good defensive line that was weak against the run??? Good? :facepalm:

You have to remember Armstead plays DE. He’s only shifted inside since Kinlaw went down with injury.

They typically run Bosa - Kinlaw - Jones - Armstead

Defense wins championships and the defense showed what they were against playoff type teams during the season...and the Cowboys defense was certainly better but didn't cut it in big games, couldn't stop the run and gave up too many big plays, things don't just change when you enter the playoffs.....that's why I picked San Fran to beat them....

Not really. This league isn’t built for defense and our team is built to have a defense that gets after pass happy teams.

If you wanted to see our defense be dominant in some of these games we lost.. Try getting a lead. That’s how they were built to shine.

Defense wins championships yet elite QBs nearly always win it.

Dallas chose Dak and offense. Stop blaming our defense it’s silly. They more than did their job for what they are built to do. All of our resources are spent on Dak’s side of the ball.

We also lost games the defense gave up over 30..again I know it doesnt fit your "Just replace the QB" theme but this team is not full of studs..at all. Studs show up in big games..hence see the niners team you cant seem to give credit to.

We should be like the Saints defense who is great against the run. Since defense wins championships it’s very odd they didn’t make the post season. They could’ve stopped some teams run game.

Saying Dallas gave up a certain amount of points is silly.

Some of these games the offense kept going 3 and out and being awful on 3rd downs.

Looking at point totals is just lazy but I know you number geeks do anything to tell yourself it’s someone else fault.

Lawrence is over paid but unless we’re moving Parsons to DE then we aren’t getting a better player in 2021. Not saying we definitely needs to bring him back, but when healthy he’s a good player

DT we absolutely can upgrade. Osi has some upside, but he’s a jag at this point. Same for Neville. And the depth here is far more thin than at DE

Nope. Tampa is going to lose because their defense got gashed from opening drive, they committed dumb penalties, they are poorly coached and their offense has dont nothing for 3 quarters. Similar to the Cowboys.

They held Mahomes to 19 at Arrowhead..

They won a game without Dak Prescott against the Vikings.

They got turnovers regardless of who we played.

Our defense was as good as anyone’s. Defense sucks in this league. The league isn’t built for defense and the Dallas Cowboys especially haven’t built their team to be defensive.
