Same as Dak and the rest of the great players we have..shrinks in big games...simple..learned it from the best..OC, HC, Owner, QB, LT RG, RB, ....im sure they all showed him the best path...shrink in big games and watch the money roll in..

C+ he's underutilized. He needs QB to feed him the ball in stride so he can use he's elusiveness.

His drops are not out of line with any of the other top WRs, other than say Adams, who basically catches everything thrown to him. He only had 3 drops all year. Deebo? He had more drops than Lamb with the same amount of targets.

The drops stink for sure but acting like Lamb drops more than his peers is a myth that needs to die.

Gallup? Going back to his last full year, 2020, he had 6 drops to Lamb's 8 on similar targets. Hardly some massive difference. Lamb is a more talented WR.
But what does Lamb offer that’s exceptional like the others do? Deebo is YAC. Gallup can jump ball. Adams has great hands. Lamb is just a product of a good system. He doesn’t do any one thing spectacularly. And he drops it as much as other guys do without making up for it in other areas.

He hasn’t shown his elusiveness at all in the NFL. They’ve given him a number of jet sweeps and punt return chances. That’s doesn’t require any QB ball
Placement. His athleticism is average at this level.

Trade Lamb, lose Gallup and Wilson in FA...and possibly we lose Coop, let alone Schultz, lol. Run the ball with what OL exactly? Confused is me.
Need to shift focus away from passing. Quickly rebuilding the OL should be the priority. What good did did having all those assets at WR do for the Cowboys when it mattered most? Coop is gone. Schultz is gone. They are already paying Jarwin. This team is big time over the cap and still have to pay guys that are underperformers. Need versatile weapons that can run and catch. Gallup or Wilson could possibly be brought back. Have to find guys in the draft to fill the voids of a new scheme on offense.

with all the hype coming out of this off-season, I was kind of underwhelmed

it was a solid season, but not great and he had a bad drop in the final 2 minutes of the playoff game
It's hard to evaluate the offense, it was a tale of 2 seasons. Pre-Dak's injury, Lamb was terrific, especially against the Patriots, but entire offense tanked in the 2nd half, including Lamb.

Don't forget we need a QB that run a new scheme if that is what you suggest, lol. What you are suggesting is a tear down, and I for one do not think Jerry is up for that even though it's badly needed

Gallup’s jump ball skills are overrated and no better than Lamb. Lamb is a legit YAC guy, it was one of his strengths.

Problem is the Cowboys don’t use him in ways to exploit that. As I said in another thread, if Andy Reid were coach theee is zero doubt Lamb would be used much better than he is now.

It’s stunning to see people wanting to just ship off the guy who is arguably our most talented WR.

A run first, dink and dunk, play action scheme (West Coast O) will suit Dak better. Dak does not thrive as a pocket passer and they have to get the QB under center for the majority of snaps to at least give play action a chance. Dak need to to also run more no matter what they do.

ask the OC why he doesn't call plays to the hot hand or the WR with man single coverage and force feed them the ball as they are open? the paly calls all seem to be locat primary throw it or not and not to exploit weaknesses or the open guy!

that goes for AC who was calling for more balls and Troy commented on how often Ceedee was man and getting open against the 9ers and dak ignored him and it appears BY DESIGN. the OL doesn't help when you don't have time or on the run and you miss a WR open to the opposite side of the field etc

we can go back to the same reason we don't have run game, always playing behind the chains and seem to get out schemed by defense more times than not

The OC, OLC, and Penalties by the OL just torpedo drives.

this isn't CEEDEE Issue its we saw many times down the stretch in many seasons since 2019.. Moore getting exposed and mistakes creating a bad situation playing 1st and 20 ..i2nd 15 3rd and 10 over and over and over. Nothings easy..

stop blaming individuals for these issues when we see the biggest issue is the offensive scheme, no run game and penalties.

not at first and 20 constantly no..its not dak he can be pocket passer if the OL and OC schemed better game and stopped having double digits penalties.

solid year but wasted talent with the lack of delivery by Dak. just too few targets , especially long passes. dak is limiting so many talented receivers on this team.

It was one of his strengths in college by making people miss. Different level of athleticism in the pro game. How many people has he made Miss on punt returns or jet sweeps? He’s had his fair share of chances.

Nothing will work if the OL is not improved and the penalties continue. Most importantly, they need to scheme away from a passing team. with Dak as QB. Teams have figured out how to limit Dak as a passer.

He's gotta work on his concentration ...he seems like a guy that has mental lapses.
This sums it up perfectly. WR1/WR2 can't drop a crucial 3rd in a playoff game. See what Kupp did after fumbling yesterday? Went out there and got open for the play to win the game

And I think he should get lined up in the slot more often. Chase and Jefferson took the young receiver shine this year. Maybe that will be motivation
