Well, if Jerry did put conditions on Mike, like accepting Kellen running the show as OC and staying out of his way, Then I totally sympathize with Big Mike and agree with him bringing up those points to Jerry.

This is not throwing anyone under the bus, this is just the situation that Big Mike was in.... Now, if Mike blatantly let the offense slide and wasn't proactive and open with Jerry on what he was seeing, then we have a communication breakdown.. It's all just speculation though..

Stuff like this is why I don't think MM is cut out for this job. Why are you letting your ship go down without trying to fix it? You're a offensive mind right? It goes back to his hiring of MIke Nolan...why would you let Mike Nolan ruin your first season? I just don't understand.
ASK JERRY..........I totally understand.

26 years. Dallas has nuttin.........'cept Jerry. Yay.

I agree that he is embarrassing himself, but for different reasons. He should never have taken the Cowboys job to serve as a Jerry's eunuch.
I agree but he's getting a nice little check for it....was out of work otherwise....probably didn't have much say in the manner.

MM may not be able to tell Kellen too much. It seems like his job is secured by Jerry. Which that makes things hard on the HC. On the flip side I highly doubt Jerry didn't tell him Prior to hiring that KM had to be kept. MM wanted a job so bad so he took it. I am real curious what things would look like with MM calling the plays.
My feelings too. Offense is supposed to be his strong suit. Why would Jerry hire an offensive-minded coach and not let that coach have ultimate say on the offensive side of the ball.
I purposely left off the question mark because my statement was rhetorical. I know why. :(

Seems like people have already taken this "quote" as gospel. Where is the link to the interview where Mike McCarthy says "I refused to help Kellen Moore?"

My understanding it's not unusual for head coaches to give their coordinators complete control but if something not working, the buck stops with him. So this take by MM is a bit surprising.

MM's Scapegoat in waiting, it was all Moore, just like throwing Dak under the bus that now has evolved into Dak changing the play. MM is garbage no other way to say it.

Broaddus is the president and driving force behind the fire McCarthy campaign. He's had a grudge against MM that goes back to the days when BB was a scout in GB. BB didn't support the hiring of MM in Dallas and has never had a favorable word for him since MM has been here. So what do you expect him to say now? I can't trust that an objective narrative will come from BB now that MM's job security is vulnerable. So I give this latest tweet from BB no merit whatsoever. He is a petty man that uses his platform to drive a personal agenda to get back at the people that drew attention to him as a failure as a scout.

I doubt he told Kellen that

Offense, Defense and Speical Teams is ALL Mike McCarthys job because hes the head coach

if Mike gotta call the defense then so be it because its his job

Rex Ryan had to call plays on offense and help develop Mark Sanchez

so im not buying that he told Kellen that

I'm with you. I didn't read "refused" into that Tweet, which itself is a second-hand account of things Broaddus himself says he wished for. McCarthy might have well got involved in the offense, but why would you show your coach up by revealing that publicly instead of speaking confidently about them? It's popular to pile on Mike now so those that want to believe this will believe this but I'm not seeing anything here other than a salacious headline.

Bingo. This is the nonsense that happens when the GM forces assistants on head coaches. It’s Garrett/Wade 2.0

I would be just fine with firing Kellen and let McCarthy run his offense again. At least then it’s up to Big Mike to make it work or fail.
Funny all MM said when hired he 100% wanted Moore as the OC so Dak didn't have to learn a new system. He said everything Jerry wanted to hear to get the job. It's the HC job to help win games not look for a scapegoat for failure which appears to be MM way.

Just a thought here but Moore is JJ's chosen son. Is it that MM refused to help him or felt Jerry would be offended if MM took control over hte offense from the golden boy?

I totally agree! That Nolan hiring was a head scratcher and than this comment makes no sense unless you just don't care and your here for the money.

We don't know the back story, it might be an arrangement imposed on him by Mr. Jones. He lobbied for Kellen Moore to stick around after Mike McCarthy was hired to give Dak some continuity. But we can already see friction in the ranks if Mike McCarthy feels he has no saying in the offensive game plan.

I'm pretty sure Bryan Broaddus had joined the scouting department of the Cowboys before Mike McCarthy got the job in Green Bay.. so the timelines don't add up to their having shared time there. Still he has certainly never been particularly positive about the hiring that's for sure..
