so Micha should hold out next year under that logic?

No one is saying that. The holdout was heading into his fourth year, 2019 training camp, if I’m not mistaken. The financial landscape and life expectancy for running backs plays a bit differently than the example you’re using with Micah.

Sucks for runners but that’s the harsh reality. The Cowboys find themselves bending on these deals, so yeah I’m pointing it at them. Hey, at least they cut bait on Jaylon — after yet another glorious decision from this front office.

Though, if Micah finds himself in a similar situation, holding that sort of sway with leverage, I would believe he acts in his own best interest. The Cowboys should do the same.

Whomever is responsible for authorizing the LB #9, Zeke and Dlaw contracts should be flogged. All of those contracts should have been structured like Cooper's, that way the player's performance level determines if they're worthy of keeping and keeps the dead cap to a minimum.

Some of Tony’s big plays come from trick plays. He had a big reception on WR pass and he had a big run from wildcat formation. I still don’t understand why Moore was not creative at taking advantage of Pollard’s skill set. I think there was so much opportunity for TP and Zeke to play together on the field but Moore failed to do that.
I agree. As much of a zeke fan as I have been (in the past).....my criticism of Moore's run game scheme includes Tony.

Its ALL AROUND terrible. Why did we not see them in the backfield together? Deadly unpredictable.

We just were not committed to the run game. TP benefitted from his "change of pace" role.....but it could have been so much more.

Fire Moore now.

Zeke was drafted to pair with Tony Romo. Zeke would've been much more effective with Romo than Dak.

The true worth of being out the playoffs early......the same topics.......release this guy, cut that guy, let this guy go, trade that guy, keep that guy.......yet many still remain unscathed. I suggest bringing back JWitt one more time. And there would be no surprise if the welcome party showed up on this board.

That's largely due to the fact Zeke really isn't a threat anymore as an outside runner. He's just not as quick as he was. He's a between the tackles runner at this point.

The *pair* of them on the field at the same time (with Zeke healthy) could work very well. Pollard taking the WR/RB role of jet sweeps, swing passes, and deep balls, Zeke taking between the tackles and pass blocking.

With Zeke injured, we would have been better off with Pollard at tailback, McGovern at FB. We get more blocking and keep our most dynamic players on the field: Cooper, Lamb, Pollard, Shultz.
