I hope that they switch roles for these two guys in 2022. Start games out featuring Pollard and finish games with a heavy dose of Zeke.

Coaches should get busy coaching Pollard up for better pass blocking of that is an issue for him. It was one of the worst decisions ever to not utilize Pollard more this year.

Draft their replacements over the next couple of years. No way they can keep Zeke or pay Pollard what he will get in FA.

I'd be willing to bet that the decision to play Zeke over Pollard came from Jerry.

you would LOSE

Jerry does NOT interfere with plays, play calls ,or who plays what amount of snaps that's nonsense. Not one ex player or coach made this claim. Fans want to believe that because they THINK pollards better and technically hes not zeke is RB1 hard nose runner and Blocker gets the dirty yards helps set up and also been the decoy in 2 back sets featuring both which helped create bigger pays for pollard. if Pollard was rb1 with 200 plus carries he wouldn't last and would be exposed because he can't be the every down back and maintain that average etc.

im on board with close to equal snaps but more snaps are needed period!

the Rbs have NOT been the issue IMHO

the OL has and these incessive Posts disregarding how bad the OL played in the run game, penalties, and the OC not calling enough run pays are barking up the wrong tree.

the fix isnt who starts its whos calling pays and whos blocking., period facts not a bunch of overly emotional keyboard know it Alls. The coaches had a plan and its not working. easier to change coaches and shuffle the ol and see.

no one was complaining when Zeke was 100% the first 8 games and had 5.1 YPC. if Zeke was FED like has been in the past he would have had 1400 yards this year when he was healthy and hot

they didn't feed him they split the carries and that and the injury is what slowed him down. if preinjury they fed him he would have easily put up his normal yards.

yes new rbs in 2 seasons sure but pollard is NOT A FT STARTER

moving on.

need to draft a RB to be Pollards partner. We cant cut Zeke but he doesnt need to dress. All he does right now is take away carries from Pollard

Can't cut Zeke until 2023. No way to hand a guy $30M to go away.

With this Jones led management I don’t see that happening.

I would think the Jones would place that much more insistence on this coaching staff to design and scheme fit to Zeke’s strengths and abilities as possible.
Even If that means split- back formations and strictly power oriented plays, so be it.

- Zeke’s skill set now cannot fit into just any scheme or system now. He’s not Adrien Peterson like now –not even Jonathan Taylor- he maybe more Frank Gore or like Packers AJ Dillion.

- If you place Pollard into Chiefs or Niners system, I think he’d be a dynamic factor as he doesn’t have to ask to take on a bigger load, and he’d stand out so huge in
spots and rotation because of how they structure their backs into their respective offense. Pollard has been vastly mishandled and under-utilized by Kellen Moore
since he’s been here, imo.

- But imo, currently we do not have that kind of scheme and structure that best fits Pollard
– and we’d have to regain that similar core that allowed zeke to help us finished 5th in NFL in rushing in 2019. (ala upgrade at OL and coaching)

Zeke does not fit Kellen Moore's offense.. Pollard does.. If Moore was actually as smart as people proclaim him to be he would use Pollard more and Zeke less. And he would use both of them outside the tackles more. The insistence on running 95% of run plays up the middle sends a clear message that he's only doing it just because somebody told him he had to. He has no interest in it succeeding.. If he did then he would pay attention in film room and notice how many times a completely unblocked defender (or two) makes the tackle on our backs. This is not some mystical quantum physics equation.. You watch film, you see which player is blowing up your plays, you adjust your blocking scheme to account for them. You see defenders repeatedly exploiting the fact that your blocking scheme leaves holes because guys stand up and not fire out and you stop doing that crap. I'm no NFL coach but I could fix this problem in an afternoon. And I would be home for dinner.. because these guys KNOW how to drive block.. They've done it most of their lives. The zone blocking requires them to be in concert and all to move as one.. which almost never happened this year.. Blame injuries, lineup changes.. whatever.. but it can be fixed.. and it's not hard.

Seems the cowboys use the backs backwards IMHO. Use Pollard and the pass game to wear out the defenses. Use Zeke to run them over after they are gassed. Pollard and Wr's zap their energy and Zeke to break their souls.

A heavy dose of 3 ypc? Yah, lets lose leads by giving it to Zeke. LOL

Zeke should never be played again unless its at FB. Pollard, although I love him, it would be dumb not to combine him with one or two other good backs to keep him fresh. This team needs to goto a RB by committee. Like SF does. Pay the line, not the back.

Need draft rb in round 3/4 to take over in 2 yearsx

I know UT has been mediocre last decade...but 2023 the Cowboys could draft RB Bijan Robinson in 2nd or 3rd Rd. The guy will be a stud in the NFL, and cheap the first four or so years. You heard it hear first.

I'm 100% aboard drafting a RB in the 4th/5th round and maybe next year either a FA or draft combo again not anything more than a third spent on one.
