Do Not know how true this is but it is interesting if trure.

He mentioned in a PFT article that a trade was agreed upon until a Pelicans basketball player demanded a trade. Is that the same thing he said here?
Pretty much. Said Loomis did not want to be the guy resposible for letting Peyton and Davis go since he worked with both organizations.
Yep. Same story I read on his site. Pretty amazing if true that the course of the Cowboys organization turned on the demands of a basketball player.
I am curious what the terms for the trade were however. He did not say it in the above clip. Did he say what the terms were in the article?

One day that decade will be looked upon as the good ol daysIf only Jerry hadn't given JG an entire decade...
Yes. This was out yesterday. Not as I remember no. Am I remembering correctly that it was the year we traded for Cooper?
Yes. This was out yesterday.
Supposedly they agree on compensation but Dallas didn't have a 1st in the upcoming draft.
Had to have been a future first or less. Would they have dealt their 2nd when they didn't have a first?
Personally it doesnt sound like a Jerry move but I'm hopeful after he sits out a year the compensation won't be so bad after NO has another staff in place.
Teams just don't block movement for spite.
The best part here....it virtually eliminates Moore as being HC next.
I posted exactly that yesterday. If it was the 2nd round pick they wasted on Trysten Hill, it hurts even more as a missed opportunity.
I posted exactly that yesterday.
I guess not too many clicked on the link within the link. This is a huge story.
I'd guess it was a future 1st though, and should not be that a year from now.
Send a 4th right now and have McCarthy start packing his office supplies up.
I believe at that time Payton only had a year left on his contract. He went on to sign the extension he currently has.
