The Cowboys could have easily won in the first round too. They were inches away from Wilson catching the ball on the 11 yardline and would have had 4 plays to take the lead from there.

This was a desperation move, not a win now move. The FO had egg on their face after they scapegoated Dez and sold us the "Dak friendly" narrative all off-season. The offense wasn't functional, we were 3-4, and had just lost to Alex Smith and 150 year old Adrian Peterson the week before.

Jerry was forced to make a trade because he failed to field an offense that could score points.

He made the big move trade because he was trying to win. One of the moves that gave them a chance to win this year too,

You either make the plays to win the game or you dont, there is no coulda, woulda, shoulda involved.

Like Aikman said, if you do jack in the playoffs there is really no difference between the Cowboys and the Jags.

The sad part is that Jerry Jones could have accomplished both and stepped down as general manager after the Jimmy Johnson era ended. Heck. Jones would have still ended up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as an owner.
