No surprize here, I said all along he would be staying. He loves it here.

Yeah, I'm with you all that think he wanted the Denver job. I read an article somewhere that stated he actually turned down the Jacksonville interview opportunity.

Well, let's get him a few more pieces this offseason and let;s roll.

anyone think the Jones had some influences on Quinn staying for another year .?

..or was it about the fallout with the Denver HC job that detoured Quinn back to Dallas ?

Reportedly it was the Denver Broncos gig that many thought for sure he was a shoe in fit to get.
Before the end of the season, heard he loved being with the Cowboys. I know he had a connection with Denver, but the other jons probably didn't interest him

I'm good with this. Reality is that if next year is a wreck, this whole staff is done and we will hit reset.

All the devastation I felt when it broke that Kellen Moore was returning, has leveled out a bit with this news. I'm glad Quinn is coming back. Still sad that Moore didn't get a HC position, but this news helps.

I'm surprised there was that many teams interested so soon after his Atlanta departure. He went 43-42 over that time with 2 winning season and a Super Bowl appearance. I guess the fact he almost won a SB and the Dallas D improvement got other teams interested. He deserves another chance at some point, but if I were a GM I would be a little hesitant before seeing atleast another season.

I'm sure he likes being here, but likely pulled out of consideration when he learned his top 1 or 2 spots were going in another direction.

I think Denver was his top choice, perhaps he is waiting on Seattle to open up next season. No matter, major get for the Cowboys to keep him and build upon what he started. Kearse is more likely coming back now.
I believe Denver was the only destination DQ may have been interested in because once that door was closed he summarily informed all other interested teams he is staying in Dallas. MM's coaching staff for the next year seem to be in place for the most part. Now the Cowboys can focus on the future.

H.F.S!!!!! We finally got some good news in Dallas and this is a great way to start the off season! Now, hopefully, things will snowball from here in a good way.

You got to believe he is going to push to keep Gregory, Kearse and DLaw in the fold for next season.

He probably knows there is a better than good chance he gets the Dallas position if McCarthy flops again next year.

Exactly! He is going to implore the Jones boys to keep his core players in place. That means re-signing several of those names you mentioned.
