Then it depends on Jerry’s whim
I’m not convinced Peyton will be the answer either. History has proven this era that our HC hasn’t impacted results considerably.

I only see one way to overcome our dysfunctional ownership and culture. We need to have a team and QB more talented than the rest of the league.

I keep hoping we can one day find a coach that can overcome the anchor that is Jerry Jones being the GM.

Hasn’t happened yet.

perhaps getting lucky and landing an Uber elite QB is the only way.

Yes, but anything less than a Super Bowl and Quinn, Moore, or Payton will be the next coach.

Indeed. Hey, in some ways it gives us fans something to look forward to: either the team goes all in and wins the SB, or Fat ******* and his lot of half-witted buffoons all kick rocks immediately after Week 18 or our usual first-round playoff exit. At least something momentous will happen next season, be it a SB victory or a new HC in Sean Payton whom I, personally, am a yuge fan of.

I don't want him to be walk around HC only, he needs to get involved in offense and maybe take over play calling.

Jerry's Boys Genius 2.0 is not cutting it, league figured him out

MM needs to make demands on Jerry. He needs to put his foot down....or at least the hoagie...and tell Jerry to let him have say so in the offense since that was supposed to be his strength, other than knocking down those buffet joints of course. ;)

It makes zero sense to fire McCarthy yet.

Ball is in his court though. Go on a playoff run next season, or he will probably be gone.

So will Payton....asinine to wait a year....you want Payton, money whip him now!!!

I looked forward to The Clapping Carrot getting his stalk lopped off too for 7+ seasons....never would happen....I am not convinced that if Corky does the same thing next year, he still won't be here....he and Chuckles enjoy weekend sleepovers, and making a tee pee by draping bed sheets over the pool table....indian loin cloths optional.

Once again thinking anyone can be bought if you just throw enough money at them.

Payton has a net worth of $24 million, a new wife, and isn't interested in coaching this year. He's also going to get a TV gig.

November 6, 2010

"The key is will it do any good? The history of football and in the NFL shows that it rarely can do any good other than a momentary 'feel good'. The other thing that happens is if you do consider a change and don't have success, then that 'feel good' doesn't last very long. That's the reality of it." - Jerry Jones after being asked if Wade Phillips would be fired midseason after a 1-6 start. Two days later, Jerry Jones fired Wade Phillips after losing to the Green Bay Packers in a route, 45-7.

Any "assurance" Jerry Jones utters isn't worth the air it occupies.

McCarthy will begin the 2022 Season. No Doubt.

But mid-way through the 2022 season, if things aren't going as expected, Quinn could be made HC, and if he turns the Team Around, then Jerry probably has told him he can be HC...unless Sean comes out of retirement, and then Jerry would tell Dan he can be the DC under Sean...

Big Mike has the 2022 season in the bag , if Garrett stayed 10 years without playoff appearances. I dont see why MM doesnt stay .
