Only one ring for all of that. So how does that make him great?

Eagles are still so stupid for letting him get away lol.

meh...yes and no

I honestly think that Andy Reid was an *infinitely* better coach than Chip Kelly and a better one that Doug Pederson just not as much as vs Kelly

But he took Philly as far as they were going to go under him, had he stayed, they probably rebound in a few years, but I don't know if they win the Super Bowl

What impresses me the most, is I don’t think I’ve ever heard from a single player who didn’t respect him. Even TO didn’t say #$@! about him.

He has been to 3 super bowls. Only about a dozen coaches have done that. Half as many with two different teams.

I love Reid but lets not forget how important a QB is. Reid wasnt doing much in KC until Mahomes arrived.

Indeed. Your standards are quite high.

Like the Cowboys used to have; they and too many of their fans have lowered it terribly.

To me the only coach deserving the HOF currently coaching is BB.

Reid is a good candidate for what Burger King called the Hall of the Very Good.

NOT the HOF.

Even Tom Flores who managed two rings while having to deal daily with Al Davis does not really deserve the HOF so no way does Payton or Reid.

I will agree that he is very good. Not great. I was just pointing out that he has accomplished more than most. I'm not kissing his ***. But at least if he can get you to be a contender, that's a plus. Look at what people on these boards think of Sean Payton. It gets ridiculous.

He went to the playoffs 4 out of 5 times, won the division twice and never had less than 9 wins while Smith was the QB

The division back then was equivalent to the NFC East now. Alex Smith was good enough to get you to the playoffs and do nothing once you're there.

People will really expose themselves just to keep from admitting they are wrong

The 5 years in question when the AFC West was "equivalent to the NFC East now" included the Broncos who during that time went to two Super Bowls and won one.

And the year after Manning retired and Denver fell off, the AFC West had *two* 12-4 teams

It most definitely is also...

In before someone says "bUT hE'S oNLY wON oNE sUPER bOWL!"

yeah honestly I wanted him badly when the eagles were ditching him…he’s an offensive genius.
Pairing him with Quinn in Dallas and we’d still be playing

The Chiefs were essentially the Philly Eagles of the division, good enough to get to the playoffs but do nothing afterwards. Look Reid is a very good coach, however; we wouldnt be having this conversation with Andy Reid as an "all time great" without Mahomes.

Andy back to "Can't win the big one." Need a running game next year, and some improvements on that D.
