In my opinion they aren't and we shouldn't follow their path (risking your future for imminent success). Yes I know, after 26 years any way to win a superbowl is the right way, I won't argue that. But in my opinion I'd rather start from scratch, build a good team and then have many winning years in a row. I mean KC made it to their conference GC a couple of times now and won a SB, that's what I mean by success.
At the moment this won't happen though. I mean we have just as many highly paid players as the Rams, if not more, but ours can't produce. And the worst thing, we're stuck with a few of them. So that rebuilding process won't start any time soon. I had high hopes in 2016, that should have been the start to a great run that lasted 5 or more years. But as it turned out, those promsing players are either worn out and done or weren't any good in the first place.
It just sucks to be in this situation. In a hole dug so deep, that even by jumping you can't reach the edge, everything just looks a bit darker than it probably is. But to be honest, another winning reg season will only hurt us further, because then the pain won't be big enough for the FO to do something radical. I think we need another season like '89 in order to turn this (not sinking but) leaking ship around.
