Is Dak’s accuracy related to too much muscle?

I can't believe how inconceivably putrid, how shockingly abysmal Mahomes was with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. It was just so unnecessary. Mahomes was frenetic in the pocket. He created a pass rush by standing still and/or running in circles, looking like someone who simply had no idea what he was doing.

He got a second chance after throwing what should have been a pick-six in overtime. He threw an actual pick on the very next play. He faced a first-and-goal from the Cincinnati 1-yard line before halftime and didn’t get any points. He faced a first-and-goal at the Cincinnati 5-yard line at the end of regulation; he lost 20 yards on sacks and would have lost the game right there if not for Joe Thuney’s outstanding fumble recovery.

This was one of the worst plays in NFL history, given the circumstances: Talk about an overpaid QB. I'd be livid as a KC fan. o_O

We fans forget that despite the fact that he is extremely talented..Mahomes is still a very young and relatively inexperienced QB. He has gotten away from pretending he's Superman so much he sometimes forgets that he really isn't and that other NFL guys can sometimes wear the cape too. He'll learn..

He reminds me of mcnabb. Maybe he could pass from more angles with less weight. I also think cooper needs to drop 10 pounds.
Too much muscle , correct , in the head , where gray matter is supposed to be .

hope he makes me eat my words but doesnt look like.

Might be onto something there, ever looked at Brady or Rodgers' arms? Brady's wife has more muscle in her arms. Drew Brees has little girl arms.

Throwing a football has more to do with wrists than arms. Qbs like Marino and even Romo have thick wrists, they can flick the ball without much arm motion.

I know from just playing with friends when throwing the football sometimes it goes much faster and farther with less effort than other times. In weight lifting, most folks get better results with better form and a bit less weight.

Like most things, technique trumps pure muscle.

Dak just doesn't have the accuracy he needs. Now that doesn't mean he can't win SBs, just that he'll never be another Rodgers, etc. Has to win SBs some other way.

But I said before the season began, I'd give Dak this year to prove to me he can improve his accuracy, pocket awareness and decision making.

He didn't do it. After this long, probably isn't. Oh sure maybe the injuries threw him off his game or off his projected improvement, and an off season working on his throwing motion, etc. can put him back on track. But I've given up on that happening, will be very surprised if he improves his game measurably from here on out.

No correct that, not very surprised, shocked.

Oh well, life as a Cowboys fan goes on...

He's a big-framed guy. Nothing changes that.

Is it difficult for a QB to properly reset one's feet repeatedly when working through progressions? Quite possibly. Esp. if you have ankle and feet issues.
