What's the big deal?
Belichick messed up on the name. Both named Brian.
It happens.

The "sham" interview is what the NFL had in place for years.
Giants went with an offensive mind over defense.
In a league where players run freely in secondaries, it makes sense.

This outrage seems fake.
Pointing out "on the first day of black history month" in their letter
tells us all where the law firm's mindset is at.

Let's not forget that Flores had signed off on drafting Tua over Herbert.
Now he doesn't like Tua and doesn't accept responsibility for not speaking
up and saying he wanted Justin Herbert.

Flores turned the season around and he shouldn't have been fired.

Maybe it was him taking issue with their bs that got him canned?

I don't know, but the NFL is the ultimate good ole boys league.

Ok. Thanks. That’s what I was thinking but belichick worked for the giants at one time so wondered if it was old. But may have been no texting back when he worked there. Lol.

Yeah it’s strange. Guessing goodell and NFL will settle for a undisclosed amount. Good for him. If your qualified then your qualified and nothing else should matter..

100% agree. Lots of former players try and be coaches, overwhelming majority aren’t white, but very few filter to the top.

However, I’m not exactly sure what he’s specifically accusing here… Giants can just say they wanted an Offensive coach because their QB sucks.

This is where I think the Rooney Rule goes too far. The Giants knew they wanted Daboll, but they had to interview a minority candidate. I'm not against what the rule is trying to accomplish, just the way it is trying to accomplish it.

If we fire McCarthy next year, it would likely be because we want Payton, but league rules would force us to conduct a "sham interview" anyway. Some say it is good exposure for those candidates, but I'm not sure they see it that way.
