He's a 10-14 ranked QB who sometimes has stats that make him look better but only on paper. Still above average just not elite.
Those "stats that make him look better" also depend heavily on who we are playing that week.

No, he’s beats the blitz well, he hasn’t been able to beat coverage. That’s how teams played us the 2nd half of the year and didn’t figure it out starting w/ the Denver game.
He hasn't beat coverage because the scheme is horrific.

Go back and watch the all-22 for the cards game...we are running 3 wrs into 7 defenders pretty consistently. What is he supposed to do with that exactly?

We are max protecting in that game against 4 rushers....and they are still hitting the qb fairly easily.

Even a biased fan can't get him higher than 7.. and I'd still call BS. Stafford def needs to be higher. I'd also put Wilson above him.

I'm no fan of Dak but agree he is around that 10-12 mark. The problem is we are paying him ELITE money. He needs to be in the top 1-2 discussion to make his contract worth it.

I really can't believe there are still some that support Dak. This team is anchored until we find a way past Dak.

They started all 22 starters from the super bowl...
Lost a lot of secondary in the game early and that certainly matters.Dak as usual beating up on scrubs.Starting safety Jordan Whitehead also missed the game, so get your facts straight.

"Prescott continues to be one of the most undervalued quarterbacks in the league. That is mostly because he is the quarterback of the Cowboys. Throwing for a franchise-record 37 touchdown passes and leading the Cowboys to the NFC East title all go into his great season. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the league against the blitz, he had the highest Pro Football Focus grade against pressure, and was able to make throws like the one you see below. His offensive coordinator did not help him much during the second half of the season. That was partly why the Cowboys’ offense faltered down the stretch. But make no bones about it… Prescott is one of the league’s best."

Interesting.

When Jarrett Prendergast talks, I listen.
:lmao:

It could just as easily be my 8th grader writing this.

Yet here we are, debating the same old stuff as if this guy somehow knows better than ...well....anyone, anywhere.

He knows no more than anyone here and probably less than most.

7-11 is where I have him. If he played the way he did the first 7weeks he would be in top5 easily. Crazy how we forget how good he was than. Seeing him take a break from the pro bowl because of these “injuries” and some rumblings are coming out that he did re injure his shoulder in the pats game . And calf too.

Seems about right.I would have Arod 1 and TB 2 and Stafford at 7 w/ Dak at 8.

THE GREAT Aaron "Generational QB" Rodgers who choked again in the playoffs, you put him at #1? Since entering the NFL in 2005, THE GREAT Aaron "Generational QB" Rodgers is 36-43-1 (.456) against teams that finished the season with a winning record. Since he's considered "Great" and Generational," he should go down as one of the biggest choke artists of all time.

"It takes more than a QB" has become the war cry for fans that know their team doesn't have a good enough QB.

The Rams had a good team, but the QB was holding them back, they dump him and get a real one and now they're in the Super Bowl.

The Bengals got a real QB and in his first full season has his team in the Super Bowl.

If the 49ers have a better QB then they might be in the Super Bowl right now because of the team they have.

Great teams will get you a deep run, but a great QB is going to get you a ring more times than not.
It's a balance for sure.

If the team is truly awful, there is no QB that is getting them very far.

But if the roster is solid overall, the QB is usually a huge difference-maker.

you cant rank using just numbers if you did Kirk Cousin could have been MVP this season.
66.3% 4,221 yards 33 TD's 7 ints 103.1 rating.

Dak is right there around 12 to 14 to me.

Well gee...they made such a big deal on the telecast about how they are the only team to return all 22 starters....i guess my facts are wrong...lol

Does Dak get any bonus points for not having his all pro RG?

Of course not.

Oline actually played pretty well pass blocking. The quick, short passing game certainly helped.Where was that the rest of the year?Brady has had a pretty good career doing that.
