Some of the blame can be placed on the trademark squatters who went out and trademarked every rumored name WFT was considering.

If WFT had been smart, they would have announced that WFT was going to remain their official team name and that they had stopped looking for a new name.

Then they could have waited out the trademark squatters for a couple of years to give up and let all of the trademarks expire and then they could have gotten a name they really wanted.

I wouldn’t go that far. They won seven games this season including 4 straight with a bad QB situation. They lost their starting QB in the opener, that would derail most teams but they hung in. They have some talent on defense. If they ever come up with a consistent QB they could be a team to reckon with.

Worst kept secret in history. Former Washington QB Joe Theismann let the cat out of the bag earlier this week when he said on a radio show, "There are a lot of commanders in Washington."
