My guess is he read some stuff on here about how important pre-snap motion is to an offense and then resigned in disgrace. Tampa Bay only ran pre-snap motion 5% of the time so obviously Leftwich is a crap coordinator.

This morning on sports talk radio here in Tampa there were some rumblings that Bruce Arians may retire rather than go through a possible rebuild. They have no cap room and 23 unrestricted free agents.

Wonder if he maybe knows something on that front and may want the TB head coaching gig if that does happen. If they go internal he would more than likely be the guy.

Yeah been hearing since TB12 retired BA may call it quits and Byron is to replace him. Heard BA had some health problems this year along with the Brown mess.

He over estimated his value, plain and simple. No way in hell he had enough skin on the walls to ask his own GM.....in fact, just a tweet where he admitted as much. What's interesting is he may have cost himself a shot at any future interviews for a while.

Maybe he did over estimate his value but he should rightly refuse to coach there with that donkey as GM. Quickest way to ruin his career. Better to hold out for a better opportunity.

If he didn't think he could work with the GM, he should have never agreed to the interview. In other words, this kind of thing you keep close to the vest behind closed doors. Don't get me wrong, I heard/read reports how difficult it is to work with the GM but his handling of this clumsy and arrogant. More than likely has cost him shot at future interviews. Think about it, he basically told the owner who chose the GM to lead his search for a new HC, he didn't know what he was doing.
