The Cowboys can make their salaries work if they want to, they always do. So if you cut both, and don’t use the money for any big FA signings, what 2 players do you think are going to replace Lawrence and Cooper and have a bigger impact next year?

Rayne Dakota Prescott: The WR Killer

Yall dont have the excuse of “no separation” and “poor route-running” that yall used on Dez.

Yeah winning the division 3 out 6 seasons and finishing the season as a top 5 statistical quarterback makes Dak a bum.:facepalm:
The Cowboys did that, not Dak.

Also, I figured you would have at least waited until Dak put up some pretty numbers against a bottom feeder team before you bought right back into the fools gold.

The apology you gave me and others when you had your moment of clarity must have been fake then, huh? Well, if that's the case then my forgiveness was fake also.

Wow Belt thinks they both are gone but also thinks the will resign Gallup, Wilson and Gregory. I don’t know what to think about this.

It kind of makes sense. If you trade or release Cooper, you can pay Gallup. But is it worth it? I'm not sure. Maybe just draft another WR.

I'd also be asking myself if it's worth moving on from DLaw now? Keep him for a 27M cap hit, or release him for a 19M dead cap? Might as well keep him for 2022.

If we get rid of Dlaw, then we have to sign Gregory back.
I'd rather see them pay Dlaw than to sign Gregory to an overinflated contract. The savings between the contracts will not likely make it worth the downgrade at the position.

you still have a hole at DE, though. If you're trying to replace Lawrence with a Bashem type it's going to be a long season.
Oh yee how we forget that Lawrence sucked for a couple of years.. Give some of the new guys a chance man before you write them off..

Dak was pathetic against the 49ers I can’t defend that. That is why I apologized. I just know that we have Dak for at least 3 more years and there is nothing we can do about it. Same situation with Zeke. We still have the best team in the East and the top 2 seeds in the NFC may not have their quarterbacks. The Cowboys have a chance to go deep in the playoffs.

DLaw has been injury prone since before he signed that contract. Out of all the extensions signed his might have been the worst deal. Restructuring his contract hurt us even more. I remember when he signed supposedly his agent wanted more money but DLaw overruled him.:omg:

Being stuck with Dak does not require us to believe he a great QB. The same goes for Zeke.

I also do not subscribe to the "hopefully everyone else is worse so it helps our chances" mindset. I remember a time when the Cowboys fanbase had some pride. They didn't celebrate guys retiring or going to the other conference because it might make the path easier. They knew that their team and players were good enough to beat everyone standing in their way.

When you're banking on the division or conference being bad then you're just setting yourself up fir failure.

I hear you brother. Your not a Dak or Zeke fan. I can’t stand the Joneses but we are Cowboys fans. If I see another video of Jerry and Stephen pretending to be football men at the Senior Bowl, I will throw up. What are we gonna do?:angry:

Other than Diggs, Martin or Parsons there’s not a single player who should get a new extension. How about we stop overvaluing our own guys and only truly pay stars.

DLaw and Coop are stars. You don’t get closer to a super bowl by cutting your best players. Salary cap or not. I’d rather have DLaw and Parsons/draft pick off the edge than Gregory and Parsons/draft pick.

What are we going to do?

We're going to hope that the Joneses somehow dumb luck their way into having a Super Bowl team.

That's about all we can hope for with them.

resigning Gallup would be really bad move. No one will ever feel like they need to double cover or roll coverage to Gallup. Coop isn’t the problem, we are just overpaying a bit for him. Do we really want to revisit our offense before he got here?

Not surprised at all........only three options with DLaw. Restructure, pay-cut or release but he's not returning on his current salary. IMO, they are done with Coop......not enough production for drama ( vax), injury issues.
Been saying this for the last 2 weeks. We need to prepare for 1 if not both gone.
