I doubt the top 2 of current nfl players you listed are faster than DonteJackson he has personal bests of 6.63 and 10.22 in the 60 and 100 meters, respectively. He was named the fastest player in college football in 2017.

Jackson didn't play last season he was out with some injury, so......

The 10.22 is solid but a 6.63 can't be right.

I did expect more out of Jackson at LSU, he was a HS stud.

I'm wondering what is Diggs' excuse, LOL....got beat by a LB. And if i was Hill i'd quit too so i can have an even better excuse for losing, not just a bad start.

Hill looked as if he slipped/stumbled out of the gate and decided to quit right off the bat. Diggs started giving up as soon as he knew he was beat. Hard to make up any ground in a 40 if you’re a step behind out of the blocks.

He jogged because he slipped or lost his footing or whatever. Keeping your balance and getting a good start is part of a race. He lost that race.

He lost the race because he didn’t take it seriously. He never took his warm-up suit off and didn’t even get down in a three point stance. He got caught off guard with the start and stumbled. At no point did he ever even come close to running full speed. The only ones who took the race seriously was Parsons and Chubb. The pro bowl skill challenges are a joke. They could only find four players to take part in the race and only one of them is one of the fastest players in the league.

Ah, don't see Metcalf becoming world class but he could have made a 4x1 at most schools.

Gatlin might be the number one USA 100m of all time, who was more accomplished?

No, Metcalf would not be anywhere near Gatlin level at all but at most colleges he would compete. Love me some Gatlin. He is my fav sprinter, love his style and everything.

You know, when this board used to talk about the pointlessness of the Pro Bowl game, I can remember saying I think they should just keep it to skill challenges. But having watched a couple of clips of these, they're just as worthless as the game!

Years ago players used to take the game and the skill challenges seriously. Some players still take the challenges seriously but for many players it’s just fun and games. If they do poorly at a challenge they just laugh it off. I watched a few minutes of it yesterday and turned it off.

Truth:

Tyreek Hill was not running hard.

Micah Parsons is really fast for a big man.

Both players are legitimate Pro Bowl players.

We have no idea how this race would have turned out if Hill and Diggs both gave it 100% but my guess is Hill would have won by a few steps.

All Time Cowboys 100m

lane

1.Herschel Walker 10.23
2.Deion Sanders 10.26
3.Richmond Flowers 9.4 yards
4.Bob Hayes 10.06/9.1 world records, 5.9/20.5 world records
5,Terrence Williams 10.1ish
6.,Mike Gaetcher 9.4
7.Alexander Wright NFL FASTEST MAN
8. Rocket Ismail 10.3ish

I assume you meant Terence Newman here and not Williams.. Williams was never that fast.. and I think Newman's PR was in the 10.2 range. I also believe Rocket ran 10.2 in college as well.

They said Chubb ran a 4.52 at the combine and he almost beat Parsons. They both ran all out.

People often lose sight of the fact that Parsons' 4.39 was at his pro day and definitely unofficial. I would contend that Chubb's time at the combine was more legit and frankly it does not surprise me that the two would be close in speed.
