Tom Brady thrived for years with mediocre RBs in NE because he did three things well:

1. Read the defensive alignment
2. Get rid of the ball quickly
3. Take the open, short, quick dumpoff read

Dak himself has said multiple times that he’s greedy. He is what he is— an average QB and a good leader. If he improves on 1,2, and 3 above— we will be a better offense for it. But he will need to break a lot of ingrained bad habits in order to do so
You're not average when you break so many nfl and franchise records in barely 5.30 seasons played in the NFL, so let's stop with the lies already.

If Dak were to be a $20 mil QB few would question his worth.

At $42 mil a year? Noooooooo, me mateys, Dak is almosty average and not a Brady or Mahomes or even a Garopollo.
But I give credit to Dak for carrying out this monumental hijacking of Jerry's wallet and the Cowboys future through 2024.

Crime of the Century...I tell ya. Then, throw in a No Trade Clause? Damn!

I've been very vocal against Dak getting paid $40 mil/season, so point that finger at someone else.

when they franchised Dak and failed to draft or bring in a viable competitor at the qb position, they sealed they’re fate. They had to pay the ransom because there was no viable option

the contact is not Daks fault…..it was a great business decision for him

I hate that contract! Jerry should have offered no more than $30 mil/season, + incentives.

It doesn't take a former NFL player to see this.

The dude can't handle pressure. It was easy when you were the 4th round pick, feel good story, that was overachieving.

Now you're paid, expected to be great, and expected to lead your team places. When you don't you're going to get criticized much more for it because of your contract.

His skills can't back up everyones expectations for him. He knows this.
When those guys in the video said they dont think the team would run through a brick wall for Dak. That tells me there could be wispers about his play and how he is taking up all the money. None of the Cowboys players would ever admit that but they are human and some of them have to be thinking they would love to stay in Dallas but wont be able to because Dak.

I don't even think it's about the money. I just think it's about him not being good.

I highly doubt Chiefs or Bills players are upset with their QBs making all that money. Players will take less money to play with guys like that. Players wouldn't do that to play with Dak.

pretty much! Except Jimmy G isnt afraid or lacking confidence in these playoff games
Jimmy cost the 49ers their chance at the Super Bowl this season and two years ago. San Francisco is talented and if Lance is half of Allen the NFC is in big trouble.

….if true, it’s the worst possible scenario. At least a physical injury will heal but if it’s in his head, it might be tougher to get over. A sports psychologist wouldn’t be the worst idea.

Many high paid executives get “life coaching” from experts and if I had a 160 million dollar employee with a mental based issue, I would spare no expense in getting him/her help
You know it! This is exactly where a solid veteran QB as a back up could of helped Dak during the game with what he is seeing out there and just his over all confidence. As Foster said in that video he has seen guys work through this and seen players spiral down and it ruin their career.

But, I thought it was said the all the players love Dak? That he is such a great guy and a terrific leader. Did I not hear right?

Thats what I was thinking a week ago when people were talking about how weak the NFC will be if Rodgers leaves GB and Wilson leaves Seattle.

…..all water under the bridge of course. The thread that’s titled something like, “Dak is here to stay”, is spot on so just have to hope that drafting well and minor gains through free agency will get us to the big show…..or at least to a Championship game while he’s here…..if you’ve noticed, I’ve made my peace with Daks contract so I hate to sound like a broken record…..we all back the team which includes him

…..man, we’d really be out of excuses not to get to the NFC Championship game if that happens

If he cannot figure out how to keep his mechanics solid while working through injury he is going to remain inconsistent. His feet, turn and arm slotting were all over the place. He is not an Elway or Stafford type that can fling the ball like that.
